Got it.....so all the teams in the conference are good but the conference sucks....makes perfect sense to me know. I am thankful that the Big Sky extended the football only invite and I have no interest is bashing the Big Sky Oly sports but its pretty easy to see that the Big West is a far better Oly sport conference for Cal Poly and Davis...and probably Sac St as well if they'd let you in.
On a related topic, where will you guys be playing baseball in 2014? Right...that is what I thought.
I find it hilarious that a Sac. St. fan would even attempt to talk smack. When is the last time they even won the BSC? or have they ever?
[insert tired 'at least our players aren't rapists' comment from herk-off here]

We don't take a "win at all costs even if it lacks institutional control" attitude.

WTF does this have to do with anything?
Earlier in the thread...I had said that the Big West was a better spot for Poly's olympic sports...Herky was ripping Poly and Davis for not joining as full members. I said the Big West would be a better spot for Sac St. as well.
The reasons that the Big West would be better for Sac St:
-Travel
-Regional rivalries
-They sponsor soccer (Sac St is now an affiliate member)
-They sponsor baseball.... Sac is an affiliate member of the WAC which may not exist in 2014.
Seems pretty clear that Sac would be a natural fit in the Big West to me.

Bo Levi was recruited out of HS. So was Nichols, so was Meyers. Padron just fell into our lap. Not our fault we turn out Payton and Buchanon winners left and right.

That be Mrs. Casey from a couple of years ago when we went to South Padre Island. I'd post a current picture, but she is six months preggers (SHE THINKS SHE LOOKS UGLY!) and would probably shoot me . But I tell her everyday she's beautiful. Come November, we'll be welcoming our new daughter, Lexi Ann.

I, too, would like to see improvement from last year. Ramirez showed in the spring game that he has the poise and accuracy to be a great passer. However the pistol is a running attack and Burton and Barnum have both tried to tweak the pistol to incorporate more passing in it to take advantage of Ramirez's arm strength. If they can remains to be seen. Incoming frosh Penn is more of a pistol type QB (similar to Kavanaugh).
Adams looked good, nice speed. Shaq Richard also was impressive as well. We'll have growing pains early on which is why I don't see us #4. Too many questions right now.

As I've said before, we don't have to worry about PSU's offense. It's the defense that concerns me. Three new transfers on the DL, individually they all look great. But they haven't played together. Jackson, Kaahanui, Molesi, Boone (he sat out last year). Toss in Suleyman, an apparently promising freshman. Then add Alexander, a transfer from Boise State who played on the scout team last year. All of these built around Jester, the senior veteran starter. As Burton says, we're plugging holes.
I understand why NAU is middle of the pack. Inconsistent play and failure to meet expectations. Honestly I think teams will be shocked this year by them. They have a dynamic offense. Their defense will be tough especially on stopping the run and contain. First two games are against ASU and UNLV. We should have a pretty good idea of how they stack up by week 3.

I agree, but the baseball comment seemed to come out of nowhere when you and Herky were trading barbs.
I think the WAC folds completely, and I wouldn't be surprised if we just cut baseball when the next round of budget cuts take effect.

Last time they won a title, it was 1995 - the American West Conference....with a 4-6-1 record
Every championship - OF ANY KIND, Sac St has ever won in football.
1 1964 8-2-1 Northern California Athletic Conference Champions
2 1966 8-2-0 Northern California Athletic Conference Champions
3 1986 6-4-1 Western Football Conference Champions
4 1995 4-6-1 American West Conference Champions

This, from the fan of a team too scared to play their in-state rival. Until you guys man-up and play UND, STFU!
If it looks like a cow, smells like a cow, and moo's like a cow, it's a UC Davis coed.

What does that have to do with anything?
And Hornet fans talking smack is actually kinda cute. You know, like a 12-year old talking smack to an adult… or like Canadian nationalism.
