Your assessment was supported by Ato Boldon ,on twitter he also said this is a strong possibility.A young lady of South African origin say hello to Noni Mkwenkweni ,stated on twitter that Jamaica better watch themselves ,in the future because the land of Nelson Mandela, is gunning for their crown as the new sprint powerhouse.Uncle Sam better do the same thing.She was talking with Anaso Jobodwana ,saying that he made his fellow South Africans proud ,with his sprinting exploits as stated before ,he could do what Oscar Pistorius ,has not done so far become the first man ,on SA history win an Olympic medal.I think in another four yrs this will ,be a strong possibility he could medal, in the 100/200m and anchor their 4x100 relay team.

I have nothing against, Pistorius it's that all the attention ,he got but accomplished nothing there, were other athletes that were more deserving of media attention than he was.The media focused upon him simply because of his medical disorder.Yes it was amazing to see him, compete vs able body athletes but he blew his chance to advance to the 400 final by running a high school like time of 46.54 in his semi-final race.I was personally hoping ,that he made the final just to see how he would have faired ,against those other guys was hoping for a sub 45 in the area of 44.7/44.9.He had a chance to make history, by becoming the first man in South African history to make a Olympic final.As stated before that honor went to Anaso Jobodwana a fellow South African.I'am not the only person who felt that he received too much media attention.

There was a young woman from Saudi Arabia that got ZERO ATTTENTION from the media and she made history by becoming the first woman in her country's history to compete in the Olympics.Kirmani James of Grenada was the second youngest person to win the gold medal in the men's 400m but nothing was said about his exploits.The only way he garnered some exposure was when he exchanged bibs with Pistorius after the semi-final race.The media shoved Pistorius down the throats of the world but these others ppl had noteworthy accomplishments that went basically unrecognized!!!!

No, he didn't win anything, but neither did the Saudi woman you mentioned that you want to honor for her accomplishment. Pistorius was a feel good story - NBC (a US network) is going to focus on stories like that, Lolo Jones, and profiles and performances primarily of US athletes. They can't seem to get enough of Gabby Douglas.

You don't have to look to see blacks heavily represented in sports - they sweep the sprints, and the Ethiopians/Kenyans are consistently the middle distance and marathon winners both Olympian and US marathon circuits. Maybe we can jump in to their representation on team USA basketball, college and NFL football, etc. For having ~10% of the US population black people are pretty well represented in sports.

Get over it and stop using slavery as a crutch. THis is why black people are stunted in America and hated by blacks in other countries. I've met many Africans and European blacks, they have nothing good to say about American blacks.

My Irish ancestors were treated like shit, you don't see Irish Americans bitching and whinig. Slavery happened and it's been over since 1865. Jim Crow has been over since the 60's. Get over it.
