Hey Wyoming Griz, I respect your Buddhist philosophy of Pratitya-samutpada which basically says; When this is, that is...However I find your philosophy inherently flawed.

Technically speaking, what you're referring to then, is really but the merely simplistic set of statments..."This is, because that is..this is not, because that is not, this ceases to be, because that ceases to be," etc., etc., etc. That's really but an infantile deliverance to begin with; any grade school kid can do the same. You can belittle it if you like; as "if" it states badly some so-called secret of the universe as but lying in the nature of causality as such, but it really isn't meant to state that. "Grant forth one instance, if they can't come up with three; to hell with them." just another way of saying, for instance, what John Locke (Treatise of Human Understanding) and what John Stuart Mill were saying:.."the universality of cause and effect being mutually exclusive to the cause and effect that's a product of the Understanding," etc., etc., etc. It's just another way of saying so, really quite simple, with a recognition of the Prior Analytics and Posterior Analytics of Aristotelian fame also to be considered. Recognition of Immanuel Kant's "Mistaken Subtlety of the Four Syllogistic Forms" a further lucidation thereof, for instance. Speculative reasoning never being able to attain to the noumenal (the non-spatial non-temporal), with "Thought" unconditioned by space and time, etc. But there's a lot more than just, especially when one considers the antarabhava, and further association besides. One can just as well recieve on the first day of class the syllabus that reflects the Unity of the Will ('Wilkur' and 'wille') that promotes the Unity of Consciousness...the basic rational categories. But it still is amazing, as far as I'm concerned, the notion of the "Progressive causal combination," wherein it is recognised that matter never devolves unto that that is cause-and-effect in and for itself. The pratityasamutpada is but another way of saying so, if one was truly honest in their perusal of their intelligence, that is.
So there is a lot more to consider than but spouting off some cursory anaylsis of the flaws of this or that, and assuming a sense of superiority as delivered by such rank amateuristic rantings; and least of all, bantering about undefined terms just to give someone the "snow-job" effect. If you can't define the terms you're using, how do you convince anyone that you understand what you're talking about? At least politicians used to be honest in their deceit.
