Montana is 23-1 at home since 2003 against Big Sky Conference teams... NAU hasnt won in Missoula since 1986
Might want to check that again. EWU won there in 2005 and I know MSU has won there at least once in that amount of time, haven't they? I also want to say someone else has won there but Am far too lazy to check.

I have no problem with you homers saying the Griz will win but I do take exception to the yahoos on here that feel despite each teams performance this year so far and the recent history that it is gonna be a blowout.

And yet here you are thinking your team will waltz into Missoula and win by 10+.
We're taking exception to you being a gigantic, delusional homer with absolutely nothing to back up what you're saying.
Also, based on this season's results, there's nothing to suggest that NAU is better than the Griz. You beat UNLV. Congrats. We would have beat them, too.

Cats win there in 2002, 2010 & 2012, which is why the conveniently pick 2003 as the year to start counting

Serious question here...apart from not needing the body-bag game pay out like other Big Sky teams, why doesn't the U of M schedule up one game each season more often? It is fun for the fans. Just saw the Griz get a game in Laramie. Go! If/when you beat the Cowboys, Griz fans will cherish the looks on the faces of the Cowboy fans as they shuffle out of the stadium in disbelief that and "inferior" team just beat them.
I can see your line of thinking. But it has to be considered a bit delusional for so many Griz fans to automatically count this as a win considering five of the last six matchups have been barn burners. The days of the Big Sky conference schedule being automatic wins for the Griz are gone. Weber State, Sacramento State, MSU and EWU have proven they can perform vs. the Griz the last few seasons. It is not inconceivable to see Cal Poly, UND, NAU or some other Big Sky team joining this club soon. What the college, students, coaches and community of Missoula have built in Missoula is mighty impressive but talent is creeping into other Big Sky conference locations. For years, Griz fans complained how much they wanted the Big Sky competition to improve. It's happening now.

Say what you will, Griz fans, but at least someone in Flagstaff/alums are starting to give a squat about Lumberjacks football.
Ill drink to that. #LETSGOJACKS!

Now if only they'd show up to the actual games. 6594 for a home opener… NAU's athletic programs are talented enough that numbers that low shouldn't be happening.

Oh boy, look who's already running her mouth and guaranteeing an MSU victory!

Never understood how a decent program in Arizona, with a nice dome/facility gets sucky attendance. Based on location, NAU and Sacramento State should be the best teams in the sky.

You inferred I was shying away from the battle and oh contraire my little Grizzlies. Just puttin you to sleep before we go in for the kill.
No Joke. The tradition is being built at NAU with alums of football. Its up to us four to carry the torch and smack talk with these Grizly fans. Lets recruit other Jacks and drive these Grizzers nuts.
But seriously you guys have all drunk the koolaid and is getting boring
UM is the greatest football program in the history of mankind In fact I heard Zeus and Apollos sons play and the defensive lineman is a Yeti

NAU students sit in their dorm rooms on Saturdays watching ASU/UofA/Pac12 games instead of walking ten minutes away to watch their own school in person. Phoenix/Tucson media gives somewhere between jack and shit attention to NAU, even when they happen to beat ASU or U of A (has happened in basketball) and happens often in cross country and track. Apart from the frenzy that is U of A basketball, the state's first, second and third loves are the Suns, Cardinals and Diamondbacks. Pro sports rule the roost. I have a multitude of NAU alum friends in the Phoenix metro area. I can't get f'ing one of them to even show up at a bar or ASU to support the college they spent five, possibly six of the best years of their lives at. Yet same friends will drop hundreds of bucks to see a Cardinals game all while paying $10+ for a beer while dealing with a bunch of drunk arseholes. It makes my head spin.
But one thing fixes all scuffling fan bases....winning. That's what it takes to get the bandwagon fans to join in for the ride. If the Griz hit a down cycle, I highly doubt they continue to sell out every game. Fans/people are just fickle. Fans here posting about FCS teams that rarely hit the tv and never hit ESPN are another story. These are lifers.
Saturday was the running of the Freshman another new NAU tradition. They entered through the Dome utility doors along with other students. So NO. Saturday the students were not counted.
I've got a freakin headache. Ya but you guys don't sell out. Ya but Flagstaff is boring. Ya but Souers hasn't won in 14 tries. Ya but we are great I know because everyone tells us so

As far as FBS games go, I'd love to see us play a western FBS that we have a shot at beating every year. But honestly it goes back to money. He fans love the play up games and the players do too, but the admin wants the money. We get way more playing a d2 at home than going to Wyoming. It's unfortunate, but true.
As for your second point, honestly look at it from our perspective: the big sky has been "getting way better" for a long time. Sure all the teams look stronger this year.
But we heard this in 2007. And 2008. And 2009, 2010, and last year.
I'm not saying we won't lose. We damn well could, but excuse us for not buying the Jack hype until we see it. You have to admit you guys do this every year.
Finally a voice of reason. Look everybody He said "I'm not saying we won't lose.We damn well could." Can you believe it?
"excuse us for not buying the Jack hype until we see it." Well said and certainly fair.
