UM had 5 turnovers, and NAU had 0--and UM lost by 10. 4 turnovers in 5 drives, and 5 turnovers in 8 drives.

NAU got the ball on the NAU 43, and the UM 20, 22, 24 and 50.

NAU deserved to win the game, clobbered UM in the last 2.5 quarters, and it was UM's fault that it had so many turnovers, but to say the 5 turnovers didn't significantly influence the game is completely ridiculous.

Unbelievable. I hope everyone takes a look at egriz since their lose at home to NAU yesterday. So far the top excuses and no, I'm not making this up. Go ahead and look for yourself. So far here are my favorites.

1. The smoke from the forrest fires are causing the Griz players to breath in bad air. Only the Griz are having problems breathing.

2. Fans emptying out at half-time for tailgating weren't back in their seats by the start of the 3rd QT and the Lumberjacks scored most of their points during this period.

3. If we didn't have 5 turnovers we would won the game.


Egriz is the best thing to read on the internet after they lose. Quality reading and you can find comedy and tragedy.

While that's definitely true, it certainly doesn't excuse jackparty for being a general fuckbag. I doubt you'd find many Griz fans making fun of a pretty cool and respectable gesture of some kids asking the other players for autographs.

Jackdude has been following a perennial .500 team and has looked longingly at the Griz for a long time, had his heart ripped out at home for 20 yrs. and has never in his lifetime known what is like to have the upper hand on the Griz or one of it's fans. Who cares what he says or that he thinks the fact that some young kids or even older fans had respect and admiration for a good team and a good player that graced our stadium?

Didn't see them but I am sure they were good. Getting a win over the Griz is a huge deal for any fan base because it let's them feel worthy for a little while...hell sometimes it's even a full season.

That picture of the kids getting an autograph is a great reminder that at the end of the day...this is just a game. The kids probably won't remember the score in a month but I bet they remember being on the field and getting autographs. Who gives a squat which team was signing.

I try not to take the approach to interacting with the Griz fanbase as JackParty has but what he's typed here is no different than what was initially dished out to him. What comes around, goes around.
