ebemiss wrote:Stalker. This isn't a conversation. This is you talking crap over picking 1 more game correctly, seriously grow up. I post my picks every week for every game before the game starts. You've never posted a pick in this thread before any game started other than today.

I'm not afraid of comparing my numbers to you, anyone else or any system. Pick all the games in FBS and FCS and post them here. Wait you only pick what you think you know, then want to talk crap because you're an expert at picking 25 games. Joke.

Pick all the games for FBS and FCS and beat the numbers consistently and I'll gladly congratulate you and mean it. Until then stalker......
 That really hurts. And here I thought we were making headway. How about we settle this. Let's pick every high school game in my county for this weekend in a winner take all grudge match. Your computer model against my pencil.

You can't pick more than 25 games in big boy football. Start with that first. You've been dodging that for 3 weeks now. Now you want to cherry pick more games. You my friend are worthless and a stalker.

Still waiting for every FBS and FCS game this week. You've shown you can't do that. Just keep changing the subject. Still waiting, stalker

 I won't pick Troy/South Alabama, you won't pick Quince Orchard/Seneca Valley. Since we're at an impasse, we'll just see how we both do this week again with the games we pick in common.

We're not at an impasse. Look back in throughout this thread and count how many times you've dodged picking all the FCS and FBS games. I get it. You don't want to look foolish. But by continuing to change the subject and stalk this thread you look worse.

You won't pick every game like I've suggested double digit times because you are afraid of being wrong. I'm not. That's why I post every game. You are a stalker that likes to cherry pick games and brag how well you did.

All this without ever posting a pick in this thread before a game started. Classy. Stalker

 I've never interacted with a computer guy who wasn't as smarmy as you, so :coffee:

We'll see how we do this week. Would you like a screen shot of my picks on gohens, since you obviously don't think I actually picked them?

I said you've never posted them in this thread before a game starts until now. I know you're scared to pick every game, you've obviously shown that. Do me a favor and stay out of the thread.

You continue to avoid picking all the games because you know you'll be wrong and can't win. I understand that. Keep changing the subject, keep putting your "cute' smiley faces in your threads and pretend to know more than you do.

You are nothing because you won't back your words up. I will. If I'm wrong I'll admit it and say great job. Getting stalked by some guy who follows the CAA and brags about his picks is something I won't do. Since you won't pick every game and compare, please stay out of this thread. thank you

At least you don't disappoint, and you are a man of your word...

So....do we have a % correct for the computer picked games? I haven't really been paying that close of attention.

I have some numbers from my human counter parts if the computer info is put out first.

Also, yet again I will state the computer should have a HUGE advantage when it comes to picking games as it takes into account every single game and creates a connected series. Humans are only picking games based only on what they read online and bias. They don't get to see the teams play, they don't have a computer algorithm telling them who should win, etc...

I've only tracked the last two weeks for EB, but he went 13-8 and 14-6 (.659 combined) in the games involving Top 25 teams. On the gohens top 25 pool, that would have put him 35 of 36 two weeks ago and tied for last a week ago. So pretty much DFL. I think I'll claim victory and stop wasting my time.

Interesting...humans have been at roughly 68% the last 2 weeks and 73% overall

It'll be interesting to see if the computer stats to be more accurate in the next week or two. Typically computers start to actually be decent about weeks 6/7

FWIW, the top half of the contest would likely be near the top. There are some scores each week that are just horrid though - shockingly enough from people like SH. The people are the top are in the 80's overall and some weeks into the 90's

That's the whole problem with computers. There shouldn't be a computer or statistics expert that can say with a straight face that an 11 game seasons with 120+ teams (don't forget I-AA's play I-A's and DII's also) is anywhere near enough data to accurately predict games. The fact that a coin flip gets you to 50% and the computers EB tracks were running in the low 70's by year end last year tells me I'm right.

How many common opponents do the Big Sky, SoCon, MVFC and CAA have? I would love to see the numbers on common opponents, secondary, tertiary, etc... We've known forever that A > B and B > C does not = A > C. Every year we can play the comparison game that gets a nobody to the national champion.

Humbolt St > UC Davis > Cal Poly > South Dakota St > YSU > NDSU

EB' do you have a "history" of the weekly picks for earlier in the year. I'd love to get the first 5 weeks of the season added in to my sheet to really see how you stack up.
