Re: Official NCAA WOMEN's Tournament Thread
jacks look like they got hosed on this... but at the same time... it's all for nothing. UConn is so far above every other team... it's like why bother?
btw, happened to be clicking past the women's selection show and caught espn running a bit on pat summitt and how frustrated she is with the current generation of female athletes not having the drive... the next shot is a live shot of Knoxville and the Vols sitting with their coach, who just punked them out on national television... AWKWARD.

Re: Official NCAA WOMEN's Tournament Thread
That's not too surprising. Both selection committees have a history of underseeding teams making their first ever appearance. NDSU's men got a 14-seed, which seems a little low. SDSU's women were projected as a 5 or 6 and got a 7. Last year, Portland State's men had the resume of a 13 or 14-seed and got a 16; last year's Viks are the only 16-seed I can remember with a top 100 RPI.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:jacks look like they got hosed on this...

I'm probably a dirty misogynist pig for saying so, but I find women's basketball absolutely dreadful to watch.

Montana has forgotten how to put the ball in the basket. Game is over. Fucking getting sick of making it to the tourney and getting hammered.

Well the Ladies came out and got sloppy and didn't want to push it while Pitt pressed the ball. second half stats...25-3 Pitt in points.dbackjon wrote:WTF happened? It was close, now a blow out??

That is unfortunately the biggest weakness of women's basketball these days. The mid-majors don't stand a chance. Even La Tech isn't any good anymore.grizzaholic wrote:Montana has forgotten how to put the ball in the basket. Game is over. f**k[*] getting sick of making it to the tourney and getting hammered.

Re: Official NCAA WOMEN's Tournament Thread
The Lady Griz didn't push it when Pitt pressed in the first half either, they just hit their perimeter shots then (& Pitt didn't). The gameplan was to slow things down & give the Panthers as few running opportunities as possible. I'm surprised Pitt was that effective at forcing turnovers in the trap, though; they ranked as one of the worst teams in the nation in steals coming in.grizzaholic wrote:Well the Ladies came out and got sloppy and didn't want to push it while Pitt pressed the ball. second half stats...25-3 Pitt in points.dbackjon wrote:WTF happened? On the plus side, Mandy Morales did end up tying Skyla Sisco for second on the UM career assists list (w/ 587). Second in points and tied-second in assists is a pretty damn good career. She's also a projected WNBA draftee.
