I disagree. The ball could take a funny bounce and get away from both fielders, unlikely, but possible. There was zero chance that the Cards were going to turn a double play in that situation.

I'm not sure what you are laughing at. It's not uncommon for a ball to take a bad bounce, or for the fielder to throw the ball away and allow the runners to move up.

There was zero chance the Cards were going to turn a DP there.

It's not uncommon for a baserunner to make a mistake or stumble. You can't say possible in one instance and zero in the other.
