The chance of injury?
This nutbag will skip right over "injury" and go straight to "doornail" in a millisecond.

Well then why the fuck were we watching it? I was told it was live.
The chance of injury is the only reason I was watching.
Thanks for saving me wasting any additional time on this nonsense.
Well, that explains why you waste 4 hours every Sunday watching Turnleft.

The jump is on live right now on the Discovery Channel. He's in a capsule that is rising at about 1000ft per minute. He's about 60,000 feet up right now. Has to get to between 120,000 to 130,000 before he makes jump.

Baumgartner just passed the previous record jump height of 102,800 feet. Should be another 15 minutes or so before he gets to the projected height of this jump.

Baumgartner just set the record for highest manned ballon flight 113,700 (or something like that, I forget exact number) set in 1961.
That wasn't a jump though, it was a controlled ascent and descent via balloon.

Yeah, I think they are going to vent some helium to slow the ascent.

Safely back on terra firma.
Looks like he just missed the record for longest time in free fall, but appears to have broken the sound barrier.

He made it look easy. Spun a little at first, but looked like most of fall was under control. Landed on his feet.
