Re: 2012 NLCS
My Giants fan friends are really letting me have it right about now.
Ugh!
Ugh!

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Go Exhaustion!! Both teams worry me, so I'll just sit back and enjoy an (hopefully) grueling extra inning game.
Go TIgers!!

Tempted to find a flight to SFO and join my wife on Tuesday if the Giants win. Doubt there is room on her flight. Then try and score some tickets.

This thing is still going on? Don't they know that Detroit has already had their World Series parade?

Sorry, I'm a Mariners fan. As far as baseball is concerned, it's still 2001.Seahawks08 wrote:That was last year! Get with the times! No, no, you're thinking of the Phillies.

Comeback complete. Nice choke job by the Cards! Now who wants to guess how many people will watch the WS between Detroit and SF?
10? 100? 6.93?

It was a curb stomping. Epic collapse by the Cards. The Giants got hot and it will be interesting to see how they fair against the Tigers rotation.

Verlander will be tough, SD. Very tough. But I think Detroit's misplaying this. The traditional way to schedule the Series is to put your ace, ESPECIALLY one as good as Verlander is, in Games 1, 4, and 7. The Tigers, at least as of right now, are putting a mediocre #4 starter in that spot. I think that's going to cost them against SF.

Who knows, so long as the Tigers don't kick the ball around as bad as the Cards did the past 3 games they won't come even close to getting as embarrassed as what we just saw the past 2 nights in SF.

Why do you think Scherzer is mediocre, he was 16-7 and 2nd to Verlander in K's in the American League.SuperHornet wrote:Verlander will be tough, SD. Very tough. But I think Detroit's misplaying this. Mickey Lolich pitched games 2, 5, 7 in the 1968 Series and won 3 games. This way they get a rested Verlander for 2 games and a short rest if needed in game 7.
