Dems Act Quickly To Pass Obama's Fascist State Legislation

Post by travelinman67 »

The most outrageous, unconstitutional policies I've ever seen any White House enact or legislation approved by Congress. Every POS politician that supports these actions should be immediately impeached.

'Fusion Centers' Expand Criteria to Identify Militia Members
Do you like Ron Paul or oppose abortion? You may be a member of a militia, according to a new report by a government information collection agency.

By Joshua Rhett Miller
FOXNews.com
Monday, March 23, 2009
If you're an anti-abortion activist, or if you display political paraphernalia supporting a third-party candidate or a certain Republican member of Congress, if you possess subversive literature, you very well might be a member of a domestic paramilitary group.

That's according to "The Modern Militia Movement," a report by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC), a government collective that identifies the warning signs of potential domestic terrorists for law enforcement communities.

"Due to the current economical and political situation, a lush environment for militia activity has been created," the Feb. 20 report reads. "Unemployment rates are high, as well as costs of living expenses. Additionally, President Elect Barrack [sic] Obama is seen as tight on gun control and many extremists fear that he will enact firearms confiscations."

MIAC is one of 58 so-called "fusion centers" nationwide that were created by the Department of Homeland Security, in part, to collect local intelligence that authorities can use to combat terrorism and related criminal activities. More than $254 million from fiscal years 2004-2007 went to state and local governments to support the fusion centers, according to the DHS Web site.

During a press conference last week in Kansas City, Mo., DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano called fusion centers the "centerpiece of state, local, federal intelligence-sharing" in the future.

"Let us not forget the reason we are here, the reason we have the Department of Homeland Security and the reason we now have fusion centers, which is a relatively new concept, is because we did not have the capacity as a country to connect the dots on isolated bits of intelligence prior to 9/11," Napolitano said, according to a DHS transcript.

"That's why we started this.... Now we know that it's not just the 9/11-type incidents but many, many other types of incidents that we can benefit from having fusion centers that share information and product and analysis upwards and horizontally."

People who supported former third-party presidential candidates like Texas Rep. Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and former Georgia Rep. Bob Barr are cited in the report, in addition to anti-abortion activists and conspiracy theorists who believe the United States, Mexico and Canada will someday form a North American Union.

"Militia members most commonly associate with 3rd party political groups," the report reads. "It is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitutional Party, Campaign for Liberty or Libertarian material."

Other potential signals of militia involvement, according to the report, are possession of the Gagsden "Don't Tread on Me" flag or the widely available anti-income tax film "America: Freedom to Fascism."

"It can subject people to unwarranted and inappropriate monitoring by the government," he said. "If I were the governor of Missouri, I'd be concerned that law enforcement agencies are wasting their time and effort on such nonsense."

Barr said his office has received "several dozen" complaints related to the report.

Mary Starrett, communications director for the Constitution Party, said Baldwin, the party's 2008 presidential candidate, was "outraged" that his name was included in the report.

"We were so astounded by it we couldn't believe it was real," Starrett told FOXNews.com. "It's painting such a large number of people with a broad brush in a dangerous light."

Michael German, national security policy counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union, said the report "crosses the line" and shows a disregard for civil liberties.

"It seems to implicate people who are engaging in First Amendment protected activities and suggest that something as innocuous as supporting a political candidate for office would mean that you're harboring some ill-intent," German told FOXNews.com. "It's completely inappropriate."

German, who claims the number of fusion centers nationwide is closer to 70, said the centers present several troubling concerns, including their excessive secrecy, ambiguous lines of authority, the use of data mining and military participation.

"No two are alike," German said. "And these things are expanding rapidly."

Senate Rubber Stamps National Enslavement Bill
Legislation passes to create multi-million civilian “army” in line with Obama’s compulsory national service agenda

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Tuesday, March 24, 2009
The Senate last night rubber stamped a nightmare domestic draft bill that legislates mandatory national service and creates an “army” of at least 7 million civilian enforcers working at the the behest of the government, while also containing language that threatens to ban free speech and the right to protest.

Last week, we reported on the House passage of the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, known as the GIVE Act, which was carried with a 321-105 margin vote.

A passage contained in section 6104 of the original House version entitled “Duties,” in subsection B6, states that a commission will be set up to investigate, “Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed.” This language has been dropped from the version passed by the Senate.

However, Section 120 of the bill discusses the “Youth Engagement Zone Program” and states that “service learning” will be “a mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency.” This part remains in the version passed by the Senate.

Roles which will be staffed by members of the programs, labeled “Required National Service Corps,” include “criminal justice,” “environmental stewardship,” and “public safety”.

Aside from the programs aimed at college students and young people, others will be specifically targeted towards, “Retired and other former law enforcement, fire, rescue, and emergency personnel, and other individuals with backgrounds in disaster preparedness, relief, and recovery.”

References to the program as the creation of a civilian “army” have dominated mainstream news coverage of the legislation.

7 million members of this civilian “army” equates to about one member for every 50 Americans, a similar figure to the number of East Germans who collaborated with the Stasi and informed on their own citizens during the cold war.

One such program has seen hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers recently trained and dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.

Similar initiatives have been introduced in other western countries, including recently in the UK with the announcement that MI5 is currently training up to 60,000 UK citizens as part a civilian network of terrorist spotters, according to Prime Minister Gordon Brown and home secretary, Jacqui Smith.

In addition, Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, publicly stated his intention to help create “universal civil defense training” in 2006.

Asked if the training would be military style, with people wearing uniforms, Emanuel stated, “If you’re worried about are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks the answer is yes,” adding that the service could be done through state national guard.

Shockingly, the GIVE legislation also contains language that could completely demolish the 1st amendment.

The 12th amendment to the act states, “Amendment to prohibit organizations from attempting to influence legislation; organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes; and assist, promote, or deter union organizing.”

As Gary Wood writes, “Those in support of this legislation will argue this amendment is limited in scope and is not meant to interfere with the rights of citizens to protest, petition, boycott, or strike in resistance to government proposed laws. However, the people associated through service under the GIVE Act are considered volunteers, still free citizens, yet it will be unlawful for them to take part in any protests against any legislation. This is as close to a sedition act, a violation of 1st Amendment rights, as has been proposed in recent history. A basic right as a part of our natural, inalienable rights, is to resist government. Our founders not only knew it was a right but it was a responsibility. This legislation begins to break that down significantly.”

Fears about Obama’s plans to create involuntary servitude and domestic spy squads were first stoked in July 2008, when Obama told a rally in Colorado Springs, “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”

Despite denials that Obama plans to institute a mandatory program of national service, his original change.gov website stated that Americans would be “required” to complete “50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year”. The text was only later changed to state that Americans would be “encouraged” to undertake such programs.

The passage of such shocking legislation with barely a whimper from political activist groups goes to show how well the corporate media has performed in camouflaging the legislation with flowery characterizations of helpful volunteerism, when in reality the bill creates the pretext for mandatory national service and the creation of a multi-million man domestic civil defense unit who will be tasked with spying on their fellow Americans under the justification of protecting the country from terrorism.
OK, Dumby Donks...lets hear it...

Tman, that picture cracks me up every time.
"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... I didn't read all of Tman's post because my attention span is too short. I will say that having been exposed to fusion centers in my old job I can tell you that they are a waste of taxpayer dollars. Maybe in the big cities they are ok but we have one in Sioux City that goes around to all the small town police departments in the area to promote coordination. The employees get great salaries, have all the neat little toys, and don't do a damn thing. And we wonder why are government is broke.

Memo to the fusion center people: I like Ron Paul and think we should start the revolution. Come and find me you worthless pieces of shit.

Subject: Obama Brown-shirts Youth Corp: Can It Be True

"Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they'll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of 'social change.'"

Investor's Business Daily is referring to an organization known as Public Allies.

Has Investor's Business Daily gone of the proverbial deep end?

Perhaps not. Just in case you've never heard of Public Allies, know that there are about 250 separate and unique references on Google comparing it to the Hitler Youth Corp.

No, that's not a sick joke or exaggeration! In many cases, these comparisons are not made lightly, foolishly or flippantly.

Public Allies is an extremely radical leftist organization that seeks to bulldoze free America and replace it with a totalitarian socialist state.

Investor's Business Daily goes on in the aforementioned editorial -- aptly named "Michelle's [Obama] Boot Camps For Radicals" -- and states:

"But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about 'social change' through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation -- the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul 'The Red' Alinsky."

But wait until you hear -- as radio personality Paul Harvey would say -- "The Rest of the Story."

Barack Hussein Obama plans to use Public Allies, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps.

He calls his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service."

And why not?

After all Obama was a founding board member of Public Allies and his wife, Michelle, was executive director of the Chicago cell.

Guess who funds this growing revolutionary army? Fidel Castro? Osama bin Laden?

No, YOU do! By paying your taxes. That's the real outrage! Your tax dollars fund 50% of Public Allies' budget through Bill Clinton's AmeriCorps program.

And Barack Hussein Obama wants you to pick up an even greater portion of the tab. In fact, accrding to Investor's Business Daily, "Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion."

The only questions that remains is; was Obama talking about his expanded vision of Public Allies when he stated; "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded as the military"?

Was he talking about Public Allies when he stated in his acceptance speech; "If you commit to serving your community we will make sure you can afford a college education"?

Is that why Public Allies is often called "Obama's Brownshirts."

And speaking of the military budget, here's what WorldNetDaily reports about Obama's hopes for Public Allies:

"Obama asserted in a Colorado Springs speech that the U.S. needs a 'civilian national security force' that would be as powerful, strong and well-funded as the half-trillion dollar Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force."

"In the July 2 speech in Colorado Springs, Obama insisted the U.S. 'cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set.'

"He continued, 'We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.'"

Can it be true?

Is Barack Hussein Obama advocating an American KGB -- a large, powerful and coercive federal police force!

Don't say it couldn't happen here. It's already happening -- all over this besieged country.

Glenn Beck says of Public Allies:

"It has already deployed an army of 2,200 community organizers like Obama to agitate for "Justice and equality" in his hometown of Chicago and other U.S. cities including Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Washington."

Only 2,200 out of 300 million Americans. Why worry?

Here's why.

In 1923, the Hitler Youth Corp numbered a little over 1,000 members. By 1925, the membership had grown to slightly more than 5,000. Why worry?

In 1930, the membership stood at around 25,000. Why worry?

In 1932, it had grown to 107,956. Time to worry?

And a year later -- after Hitler had grabbed power -- there were 2,300,000 members of the Hitler Youth Corps ready to die for their charismatic Fuehrer, who promised them change -- a New Order.

By then it was too late to worry.
Funny how Investor's Business Daily and World Net Daily pegged Obama's plan to the letter...while MSM turned a blind eye and even mocked those who suggested Obama would try such a nefarious plan...

...yet here we are today.

dback, cap'n, ttbf...any other dumby donks care to rationalize this "insignificant" political development?... :ugeek:

From the Congressional Budget Office

$481 million immediately...

$6 billion over the next 5 years.

Cost is irrelevant. Constitutionality and ethics of this bill are beyond belief...I never thought in my lifetime I'd see a U.S. government try to pull off some power grab like this...I simply pray the Feds get HAMMERED from every lawyer in the U.S., and spend the next 4 years litigating and apologizing for this abomination.

Well, cost is relevant when it's half a trillion.

OK, now we're getting somewhere. So, it sounds like Investor's Business Daily criminally exaggerated the cost figures. Is that a fair statement?

(in a slightly hushed but concerned tone)Tman, is there anything else you want to tell us?

I've got this mental image of T-man in his younger days as a fervent Democrat who became deeply disillusioned with liberal politics over some issue or other and gradually became what he is today. That sort of intense disdain, with the tone and volume to match, usually comes from old, deep-seated feelings of scorn, a scar received from a passion from one's formative years. Am I close?
