3. Cheapest I've seen for OOP insurance is about $90 a month. I can't afford it. I realize I can't afford having something happen to me either, but that's about a sixth of what I bring home in a month, if I'm working decent hours. The only week I've worked decent hours lately has been this week, because of spring break. Normally, that then amounts to a fifth of my monthly income.
4. Second job, you say? If it was feasible, sure. But with the workload I have for grad school, it would be insanity to do that to myself. I'm also hoping to go do more reporting this summer, so I need to keep my schedule more flexible.
I'm not saying I want something for nothing--but I'd rather have something than nothing.
