He's pissed as hell because his team can't keep.pace with A&M. I'd love to see Oregon's pace run Bamma into the dirt.

Re: Saban throwing a fit
Wouldn't happen. Given that they would only play in a bowl game, they'd have 5 weeks to prep for Oregon. And the Ducks have already proven themselves to be pretty mediocre in games against teams with great defensive lines. See Auburn, LSU (kickoff game), Ohio State. Give Saban a month to prep and he's almost unbeatable.grizfnz wrote:He's pissed as hell because his team can't keep.pace with A&M. I'd love to see Oregon's pace run Bamma into the dirt.

It's not that they don't play well against teams with good lines...it's that when a team has a month to prep for that attack (or more) it's easier to get a good scheme to use against it....If Bama, LSU, Auburn, OSU, etc... only had a week or 2 like most schools Oregon would run all over them (yes, I really believe that).rkwittem wrote:Wouldn't happen. Same reason Boise is so good in bowl games and week 1 or 2 games against the "big boys". They have a coaching staff that is amazing at drawing up schemes to compete with enough time to do so.

I'm pretty sure Oregon wouldn't go undefeated against a SEC schedule. Those defenses are too good and their defensive linemen are the difference. They're bigger and faster than they are everywhere else.clenz wrote:It's not that they don't play well against teams with good lines...it's that when a team has a month to prep for that attack (or more) it's easier to get a good scheme to use against it....If Bama, LSU, Auburn, OSU, etc... only had a week or 2 like most schools Oregon would run all over them (yes, I really believe that).rkwittem wrote: Wouldn't happen. Eh, they only lost to Auburn by 2, and if their RB's knee hadn't miraculously stayed off the ground, who knows how it would have turned out.rkwittem wrote:Wouldn't happen. But I agree that Oregon most likely wouldn't go undefeated in the SEC.
