Come on, SD. All I'm saying is that IF it happens, the reasons I gave will be the likely reasons WHY we get in. I have no delusions that we actually WILL get in. Naturally, as a fan, I think we OUGHT to, but I realize that there are PLENTY of others, both here on the board and in positions where their opinions actually count, who will disagree. We are likely out, but we SHOULD be in, IMNSHO.
I don't think we "should" be in given the others being considered for the last berth.

It's not? Both are in the same BCS conference, one is middle of the road, one is a cellar dweller. Both have access to all the revenue the Pac-12 has. Both offer 85 schollies. Both games were on the road. If we are taking **** for losing game 1 to NMSU, you get to take **** for getting destroyed by a ho-hum Pac-12 team.
cellar dweller is an understatement. im not trying to take anything away from sac state(i was rooting my ass off when i saw the score was close, and was a proud big sky fan that day) but its hard to say sac is better because they beat the buffs. the team your hornets narrowly beat also lost to that ¨ho-hum¨ pac 12 team, by nearly the same score! although asu is mediocre in the pac 12, they are still god like in comparison to the buffs.

Yeah but you are comparing a curb stomping against a narrow win. The narrow win will always look better than a curb stomping. If NAU lost by a couple of TD’s to ASU then I would agree with your argument. 63-6 is pretty fucking bad no matter who it is against.

And thanks for the list 89Hen. :thumb:

SD,
While your point is Valid, it is also null. Sac St will not, no matter what make the playoffs this year. Sac and either NAU or CP will ride the pine this year. Its NOT right, Sac is a better team than at least 4-5 teams that will make the playoffs but it is what it is. Just hope your team comes back twice as strong next year and there will be no question wheather or not the Hornets get in to the playoffs. :twocents:

There are a bunch of teams that won't be in the field that are probably better than those, but I'm not ready to put EIU on your list of definite inferiors.

I wouldn't put Lehigh there either. Lehigh finishes 10-1 they get in ahead of 7-4 Sac, they might even get in ahead of the CP/NAU loser.

Of course they'd get in ahead of Sac, but that doesn't mean they're a better team. I'd take Sac, CP, or NAU against any of those 5.

Maybe CP and NAU. Sac doesn't impress me.

Oh?

A B(C)$ win, a win vs. FCS#11, and losses by a FG each to FCS#1 and FCS#3 don't impress?

Losses don't impress me, especially 4 :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: of them.

The B(C)$ team you beat has 1 win, not very impressive.

Yeah. Eastern teams swear up and down by FBS wins, but as soon as a western team gets one, they start whining about who the FBS team was.

Double standard!!!

FBS wins are great, but 4 losses sucks, or should I say Sucs? I get it, you're a Danica Patick fan, so you like losers.

To be fair, I would let Danica Patrick sit on my face.

6-9 with Danica sounds good too. But SH likes 7-4. :dunce:

I'd do a 7-4 if it lands Danica.

The GPI agrees with you. The current GPI lists EIU @ #16, Sac State @ #31.
