You didn't, and you are. The bi-son elected to play their cupcake first round teams Sept. 1st and 22nd. Be fortunate you got the #1 seed with that downy soft schedule...BisoNation wrote:And you act like we didn't get shafted on our 2nd round game...we did. It doesn't matter though, it gets settled on the field. I just hope we get the chance to kick EWU's ass in Frisco, but I don't think EWU has the team to make it there. Goodluck against Colgate/Wagner, they might get you.

I'm sure they do, but a lot of people are overlooking SHSU because of their record this year.putter wrote:their funky offense took a half to get used to and then were shut down for the 2nd half....CP has more than a fighting chance.Gil Dobie wrote:

Overlooking SHSU? Man in the 10 hours since the brackets were announced all I've heard is how badly Cal Poly will be "throttled" who is overlooking? SloStang,
I expect that Cal Poly will have a big win over Sam Houston St. I know my sentiments are shared by many of my fellow EWU fans. Good luck, the Big Sky is pulling for you.

I'm glad they are too, definitely deserved to be. I don't think Poly can take down SHSU, but I'm exciting to see the results and glad they get the chance to prove me wrong.SloStang wrote:My thoughts are I am glad Cal Poly is in the bracket.

Re: Bracket Thoughts
If Sam can defend CP's crazy version of the option, they certainly have a chance. But if CP gets up early, watch out.
I'm sure Sam already has them, but film of CP's games with Sac and EWU will be VERY instructive on Mustang tendencies and how to beat them. For contrast, they may want a VERY quick look at CP's ISU film for how quickly they can get up on an opponent; that is, for motivation (not that they'll need much, of course) to NOT allow that to happen.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Ya, NDSU probably got 'screwed' in their 1st game but they have 2 weeks to rest and prepare....I'll take it. Our bye week was in early Sept, so the week off will be welcomed.
Personally, I would like to see EIU and their passing offense come to Fargo. But IMO, SDSU will run it down their throat and beat them pretty easily.
SDSU didn't do much of anything against the Bison for most of the game. They had only 120 total yards before their last drive against our soft 'prevent'. NDSU matches up well with either team SDSU/EIU. If the Bison have 0 TOs the game will be won by 2 TDs at least. If they have multiple TOs then we can lose.
Great defense and very good running game.....I'll take that in the playoffs.

I think you said that already....about 10 posts up.isumatt wrote:Don't count out the REDBIRDS Appy, undefeated on the road this season!
Since '05 we've taken down Southern Illinois and Western Illinois in Boone, so I like our chances vs. the state especially with 3 weeks of rest.

Re: Bracket Thoughts
I'm OK with our bracket. Not crazy about that triple option on December 8th though. But we are at home this time.
If we somehow get out of that, we go to NDSU to play on the concrete turf. Indoors is good for a pass happy team in December.
