Our Second Annual Womble Rumble
I'm sure you guys remember last year when I posted about our November race to raise money for a new all-weather track to honor our 40-year late coach. Well, we still have $$ to raise, so we did another one this past Saturday. I'm STILL jacked up afterwards.
Anyways, we had celebrities galore there. One was our former track star who made it onto American Idol a year or two ago. You might remember her audition that featured a booty dance. Also present (the Grizomatic will love this) were the Diaz Brothers. All three celebs actually ran. Apparently, the Diaz' are somehow related to our beloved coach. (Sometimes, it seems like half the town is.) Of course, I had no clue about UFC stars at our race until I saw the pictures with our current assistant track coach who is organizing all of these events.
Small world!

That's great!
It's not every day you get to see an unsuccessful American Idol contestant and the Diaz brothers.
Who are the Diaz brothers again?

Re: Our Second Annual Womble Rumble
The results have been posted. Nick Diaz placed second in the Men's 20-29 Age Division for the 10K, 10th overall. His brother Nate was 4th in the same division, 19th overall. Our American Idol contestant won the Women's 20-29 Age Division in the 5K, 7th overall.
There was a glitch with MY results that I'm hoping they fixed. This will play into all of your crazy jokes about me, so have your fun while it lasts. I finished 16th...in the Women's 40-49 Age Division of the 5K, 51st overall. If they had read my application CORRECTLY, I would have been 8th in the Men's 40-49, 61st overall. Of course, I would have been dead last in my age group and would have only beaten one guy overall if they'd done it right. In the Women's grouping, I beat three in my division and 16 overall.
I still wanna have them fix it, though. Ugh!

I wish I could say that, 93. I'll be 41 before the year is out.
