There hasn't been a true Big 10 since Penn State joined in the mid 90s, which is why they made the logo change to embed the "11" inside "Big 10" back then.

With all the conference realignment, I guess they figured they could save a few logo changes by remaining ambiguous.

But the state of Georgia, and the land that became Atlanta, did exist and was part of the colonies. I didn't realize the "colonial" athletic conference only referred to municipalities incorporated at the time of the colonies. How quaint.
