I'm not going to say anything except we welcome ISU to Watauga County, and feel fortunate to have this opportunity against a fine Redbird ball team.

Pull up your socks, we're gonna Rock.

To answer your PM, Illinois State wins DBs primarly because they're 2nd. in the nation in passing efficiency D while the Mountaineers are 76th. I think ISU's WRs have an advantage against App's secondary, but App's overall offense is better than ISU's so the matchups for the game roughly balance out.
If their pass defense is that horrible, it must be a problem with the front seven and a lack of a pass rush,Two jumbo sized corners like Shaffer,Grey don't come around all the time.Imagine them in Redbird uniforms would love to see them vs Price if that were the case.
Just because they're bigger doesn't mean they're better.

The Griz weren't exactly a passing juggernaut this year, but Trent McKinney threw for 307 yards on just 29 attempts against the Mountaineers

Well, ~50% of those passing yards were to Dan Moore... mostly on screen passes.

Dan Moore got over 70% of his receiving yards on the season in that one game.

That's not a knock on Montana or trying to take away anything from what they did... it was a great gameplan... and I don't think anyone on our side expected Dan Moore to be your big receiving threat.

But, the discussion was on DB's... and, they weren't at all responsible for Montana's 307 yards passing.

At all responsible? Sam Gratton also had a 100-yard day on just 3 catches. Remember the bomb on the third play of the game?

Seconded! Can't wait to hear how it goes for both sides. Two teams and fanbases I very much respect.

Like I said before they lack a simple pass rush if they did this guy Trent McKinney would have been lying on his back instead.A DBs best friend is the front seven you can thank Deion Sanders for that comment.

Ill State's offense needs to sustain drives and not turn it over.

Should be a good game.
