I am rooting for one team to forfeit.

How 'bout a DOUBLE forfeit?

Somebody destroy the Orange Bowl site in Miami. Please and thanks. This one is a slam-dunk winner of the "most uninteresting BCS title game" award. God and I thought LSU-Alabama was brutal. ND-Bama is going to be even worse. The worldwide leader is going to be toxic to listen to. Just a ton of SEC/Bama/Notre Dame "helmet polishing" (if you catch my drift). :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

Will be close to old school the way football was meant to be played.
-Both schools are old school, storied programs
-Both teams have old school unis, not the 50 different uniform combo crap you see with teams like Oregon and Maryland, etc.
-Will be played on grass. Football was meant to be played on grass & mud, not the fake stuff.
-Bama runs a pro style smash mouth, 59% run/41% pass offense. ND runs a spread, but are still 58%/42% run heavy (I think they will be passing more than 1/2 the time vs Bama). Not the new age, super hurry up, majority passing fad that Oregon started and other teams are copying.

So not only are the teams not likable, but you're saying the play will also be boring?

And you mentioned uniforms. ND has worn some clown outfits recently. They've also added some shinier gold to their helmets this year. They used to look like a gold crayon. Now they look like they had West Coast Customs put gold flake flair on their helmets. Serious bling going on there.

I wonder if ND will break out their "lucky" green jerseys for this game? I think they are winless in every big game they've played wearing them.

Don't worry, Douchebag Loria and the Marlins have already done that. Its being played in Dolphins Stadium now. No words to describe how much I hate that place as a venue for football, let alone Canes "home games". My dream is that they find a way to demolish the projects just off Dolphins Expressway by Marlins Park and build Orange Bowl 2.0. With more parking areas for both stadiums.

There is no such thing as "the way football was meant to be played." Heck it used to be single wing option stuff. Not many, if any college programs run that stuff.

If a college team wants to buck the trend and spread you out to be your brains out (a la A&M), so be it.

They did knock the crap out of Florida that year in the Sugar Bowl when they wore the green uniforms. Granted, that was back in the Jerome Bettis days, but they did win then.

Not a fan of either team but I respect what both teams have done so far this year. I'm just afraid the game will be a snoozer as neither team is exciting offensively. Now Oregon & West Virginia - that's some offense.

Oregon & WVU would be a basketball score- neither one of those teams is exciting defensively.

There is no such thing as exciting defense, unless it's your team's. Alabama and Notre Dame are both barely competent at QB. I don't care what their stats are- neither team has a developed, functional passing attack. I wanted a crisply played offensive game. Believe it or not, you can still get that with good defenses on each side. (Remember the 2002 Fiesta Bowl? Neither team ran up and down the field, yet it wasn't a sloppy mess of a game like LSU-Bama was. Same goes for UT-USC in 2006.) Notre Dame and Alabama play football like it's the 1970s. Styles make fights. This one has about as much style as your average homeless person. :sleep:

Alabama does have a pretty catchy fight song (at least the band version - not sure/could care less what the lyrics are)...

Doesn't hold a candle to the ND fight song.

BS, as others have pointed out.

BS- You don't think UT and USC ran up and down the field. :roll: There was 1130 yds of total offense in that game 41-38:
http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?id=260040030" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So you think over 1100 yds of offense isn't running up and down the field. What is then? 1200 yds? 1300 yds? :roll:

Alabama avg about 439 yds of offense per game- 225 yds rushing and 214 yds passing. That is a pretty even offensive production. They also avg over 38 pts per game. That is pretty high scoring.
AJ McCarron is #1 in the nation in passing efficiency. In 13 games he has completed about 67% of his passes for 2669 yds, 26 TDs to only 3 INTs.
http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?y ... =IA&dest=O" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You're clueless if you don't think Bama has a functional passing attack.
