Seriously, this one's even tougher than the MSU/SHSU game. I'm going to pick Eastern, but only with the caveat that Vernon Adams plays a decent amount. The #1-key for Eastern is to find some way to neutralize ISU's insane pass rush and going with Padron the whole way probably won't cut it. The Eagles are a bit better on special teams, though, and if they get that plus some successful change-up play from Adams I think they'll win. Don't take my pick as anything close to "gold," however, because I have very little confidence in it (I'm looking at you SE, mister "I blame Mvem for my getting Colgate wrong" ).
Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:

Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:
Quarterbacks -- (push)
Running Backs - Illinois St.
Receivers/TEs - Eastern Washington
Offensive Line - Illinois St.
Defensive Line - Illinois St.
Linebackers --- Illinois St.
Secondary ---- Illinois St.
Kicking ------ Eastern Washington
Punting ------ Eastern Washington
Return Teams - Eastern Washington
Kickoffs ------ Eastern Washington
Illinois St. 31-33 Eastern Washington
Not like I would change my pick on THIS game if you considered ISU a lock. I knew very little about Wagner or Colgate... I know a fair amount about ISU, and pretty much everything about EWU.
SE, you really are a good fan. You post more good information about EWU games than any other conference.
You really need a new user bar to congratulate your dedication.

Nope, we've just been playing down to the level of our competition, which has been enough. Thank you for your insights though, Copernicus.
ur defense is not very good. isu has a good qb that can make plays. isus defense is much better than wagners too. ill take isu 27-24
Your English is not very good. EWU has two great QBs that can make plays. EWU's (scoring) defense is better than ISU's, against more potent offenses. EWU by 7.

Probably, but consider that he's watched two Payton Award winning QB's and one of the all time statistical leaders in the history of FCS over the past decade. SE is pretty darn familiar with great quarterbacking.

#1 will the ewu isu game be on bigskytv?
#2 do u have to pay to watch a game on espn3?
1. No, since ESPN holds the rights.
2. No, it should be available depending your cable/internet provider. All the big ones carry it.
3. If your provider doesn't have ESPN3, you can probably find a pirated link at firstrow.

It's weird. Illinois State's defense is statistically good in pretty much every facet, but for whatever reason their redzone defense is terrible. The Eags have to get it done inside the 20 like they did against Wagner.

Definitely. From what little I've watched them and looking at their stats, they're very good 85% of the time, but then have a breakdown and give up a big play. EWU tends to bend, bend bend, but not break.

One thing this team never does, is quit. MSU, NDSU, UM, Delaware, UC-Davis, PSU, among others have all found that out fairly recently.
Bill Fette made us quit....
Don't you have your own thread to go fuck up Frenchie?
