Yeah, both Eastern and Portland State have video boards that aren't even listed. As you mentioned, there are probably a lot of others. Maybe Jalmond can give us Portland State's dimensions, it is a damn big board.

Well then that's 3 Big Sky teams that aren't listed. Some Big Sky folks at those schools need to get off their duffs and go add them to the list.CatBlitz22 wrote:MSU's isn't listed eitherLDopaPDX wrote:

Despite not being all that well-traveled, I'd wager that the gap between NDSU and USD is pretty substantial. Not sure what the facilities are like elsewhere (particularly Missouri State) but I'd be surprised if they were as bad as I've heard about USD.

The Patriot is tough to beat. From Lehigh, Lafayette and Holy Cross's facilities to Georgetown's MSF is a monumental drop.
Lehigh's Goodman Stadium, 16k plus bank seating, total 20k+
Holy Cross's Fitton Field, 23k
Lafayette's Fisher Field, 13,500
Then there's Georgetown's MSF, 2,500

That being said...we will be getting a new stadium in the near future(3-5 years) after the field house is built. And I'm sure it'll have turf so you bitches can stop whining about it.

Football is meant to be played 11-on-11. I don't care if you play in a slough or Cowboys Stadium. Football is football. NDSU sure doesn't play like a bunch of pussies if you ask me...Theee Catrabbit wrote:BisoNation wrote:Although, with the addition of USD to the Valley Vermillion might take the crown for worst. If I had to guess. The top-tier in the MEAC (regarding football facilities) are NSU, A&T, SC St., FAMU; the middle pack are NC Central, SSU, Morgan, Hampton and the low end are DSU, Howard, and BCU.

When it comes to the SWAC I would have to say of course Alabama St is top dog right now when it comes to facilities and everyone else is in the cellar.DSUrocks07 wrote:If I had to guess. Re: Biggest Discrepancy In Conference Facilities
All the football facilities in the SoCon are okay, just a big difference in the capasities between schools like App, GaSo and UTC (20K+) and Wofford and Samford (much smaller more like 10-12K). Others are in between but there are none that a recruter would be ashamed to show a potential target.

Re: Biggest Discrepancy In Conference Facilities
Now that I don't have to say that Albany has the worst field in the Northeast Conference, the league's schools are pretty close.
All the NEC fields are relatively new, less than 20 years old or recently renovated.
All are small, 3,000 to 4,500 except that Bryant, and Central Connecticut with its new visitors' side, have the largest capacity at 5,500
Bryant is the only one with natural grass
Robert Morris, Wagner, and Monmouth are one-sided, Bryant has temporary bleachers for the visitors' side.
Wagner, St. Francis, and Sacred Heart have tracks

Agreed, and while it is nothing to brag about CCSU's facility is probably the league's best.UAalum72 wrote:Now that I don't have to say that Albany has the worst field in the Northeast Conference, the league's schools are pretty close.
It is still relatively small - seating just 5,000 - but there is ample room for SRO and temporary bleachers (or future expansion). The new grandstands actually have better sightlines the the older West grandstand. Modern and comfortable pressbox, 2 indoor suites, there is no track, and we have by far the best video board in New England for FCS schools.
The Field Turf turf is about 10 years old, but is expected to be replaced in the next year or so.
The main lot in front of the stadium is home to a pretty lively talgate scene. Additional parking is free and easily accessable.
Overall, I would say it is on par or slightly nicer (but smaller) than UNH, URI or Maine

Re: Biggest Discrepancy In Conference Facilities
Just for the record our stadium will probably see an expansion to about 10,500 seats in the near future. Plans are underway to expand the visitors side by 2200 seats add new restrooms and concession stands on that side also. Now if NY State releases the 5.6 million to build it we will be fine.

There will be a new HD video board in the far endzone.
Main video section will be 21' x 38' with the two side sections being 6' x 11'

The Big South difference between Liberty & Charleston Southern could only be eclipsed by Alabama State to Prairie View right now in all of FCS.

right now I'd vote Alabama State as having the best stadium (although I went with Southern in this case because I haven't seen the Alabama State stadium in person yet)dal4018 wrote:Is the stadium complete and compare it with Alabama St.tampajag wrote:compare this:

I'm not sure what you are talking about because Southern, Jackson St, and AAMU, are a looonnngg way from anybodys cellar. UAPB was suppose to be building a new endzone complex also not sure if the broke ground or not.dal4018 wrote:When it comes to the SWAC I would have to say of course Alabama St is top dog right now when it comes to facilities and everyone else is in the cellar.DSUrocks07 wrote:If I had to guess. Did Dartmouth install actual restrooms with plumbing under the visitor stands when they renovated Memorial Stadium? If they're still using port-o-johns under it, as they were in the 90's, then Dartmouth is worse than Brown.Ivytalk wrote:For the Ivies, I'd say Princeton has the best, Brown the worst.
