Texas Tech filled the HC slot opened with Tommy Tuberville's crazy move to Cincinnati by luring 33-year-old OC Kliff Kingsbury away from TX A&M, where he mentored frosh phenom Johnny Manziel. Kingsbury was a star QB at Tech, and claimed that if it were ANYBODY other than Tech calling, he'd still be with the Aggies.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
