Are you sure about that, dal? The way I remember it, Vick got hurt a couple of weeks ago, and there wasn't any mention of it being season-ending.dal4018 wrote:Vick has been replaced for the rest of the season by Foles.
I guess what you're saying is that Michael Vick = Alex Smith = Wally Pipp....
(Not against you for saying it. Just against the idea if it's actually true....)

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Fat man has now thrown everyone under the bus but his sorry-azzed self. Four more games in the Reid era. Can't end soon enough.93henfan wrote:It's true. Fat man said so earlier today.

Yeah, they should have given Pipp his job back. The guy who replaced him was a stiff.SuperHornet wrote:Are you sure about that, dal? Yes,according to radio reports WFAN(NY) Mike Francesa, said on his show yesterday that Andy Reid said Nick Foles, will remain as the starter ,for the rest of the season.Reid said because of health reasons, he is sitting Vick for the rest of the yr.I don't like it either by the way the, problem as everyone knows is the offensive line they need more rollouts, in order for Vick to be effective,at 6-0 he is entirely too small to see over his line when trying to throw downfield.Foles at 6-6 obviously doesn't have the problem locating the equally small Eagles WR unit.SuperHornet wrote:Are you sure about that, dal? Re: "Fire Andy"
I think Vick's inability to see over them is less of a concern than the fact that they can't block and that after a decade in the NFL he still hasn't learned how to slide feet first.dal4018 wrote:Yes,according to radio reports WFAN(NY) Mike Francesa, said on his show yesterday that Andy Reid said Nick Foles, will remain as the starter ,for the rest of the season.Reid said because of health reasons, he is sitting Vick for the rest of the yr.I don't like it either by the way the, problem as everyone knows is the offensive line they need more rollouts, in order for Vick to be effective,at 6-0 he is entirely too small to see over his line when trying to throw downfield.Foles at 6-6 obviously doesn't have the problem locating the equally small Eagles WR unit.SuperHornet wrote:

Re: "Fire Andy"
Thanks I forgot the obvious, I think Philly needs to go shopping, in April for folks who know what it is to block. As stated before it would help ,if Offensive co-ordinator Marty Mornhinweg ,if he design more rollouts for Vick to take advantage of his mobility, instead of trying to make him a pocket passer.93henfan wrote:I think Vick's inability to see over them is less of a concern than the fact that they can't block and that after a decade in the NFL he still hasn't learned how to slide feet first.dal4018 wrote:Yes,according to radio reports WFAN(NY) Mike Francesa, said on his show yesterday that Andy Reid said Nick Foles, will remain as the starter ,for the rest of the season.Reid said because of health reasons, he is sitting Vick for the rest of the yr.I don't like it either by the way the, problem as everyone knows is the offensive line they need more rollouts, in order for Vick to be effective,at 6-0 he is entirely too small to see over his line when trying to throw downfield.Foles at 6-6 obviously doesn't have the problem locating the equally small Eagles WR unit.

Nice to see Foles take a big step yesterday, but remember this game when the Eagles are picking 7 or 8 in April instead of third....

Re: "Fire Andy"
No huge difference picking 7th or 8th when you have needs all over the field to pick for. At least they can feel comfortable that they don't need to spend a high pick on a QB. Foles may not be the answer, but he's decent enough that you can go into next year with him under center and focus on starting to plug the numerous holes that exist everywhere else. A top 10 draft pick can easily answer one of most of those holes just as well as a top 5 pick would. When there are this many holes it's not as big of a deal.

Agree with everything, so long as Reid isn't the one making the selection.GannonFan wrote:No huge difference picking 7th or 8th when you have needs all over the field to pick for. There was an article last week about Reid possibly not getting fired. Seriously, if that guy keeps his job I will never wear midnight or kelly green again in my life. I will be completely done with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Re: "Fire Andy"
That's the one thing I would be worried about - I think Reid is certainly gone as coach, but I would be worried that they're going to keep him around in the organization and he'll have a say in the picks, at least for next year. Nothing good can come of that. I appreciate that the Eagles front office/ownership and Andy may have a close relationship and they all like each other and don't want to do ill to either party, but at some point you need to separate the friendship from the business side of it and Reid just misses way too much on draft picks to let him close to the draft room anymore.93henfan wrote:Agree with everything, so long as Reid isn't the one making the selection.GannonFan wrote:No huge difference picking 7th or 8th when you have needs all over the field to pick for. Good to see the Birds back to their losing ways. Just got to get some the other bottom dwellers to get on a hot streak.
It's so funny to watch dead teams talk about teamwork and still caring.
Just lose already.

Sal Pal was just on WPVI 6 ABC saying Reid will be fired on New Years Eve and the Eagles are going full bore after Chip Kelly.

And Vick will start the Giants game on Sunday due to Foles' fractured hand. 4-12, here we come!

So, Eagles pick 3rd or 4th if they lose and as high as 7th if they win the final game.
Just lose, baby!
