I heard about this earlier but decided it needed its own thread.

This would happen all over the country if more people carried. The cowards would stop doing this shit when they know they will be killed on the spot.

The cops, laws and government cant protect you, only you can.

This guys story should be front page 24/7 and beat into your face more than the Conn school thing but the media wont do it because it goes against their political agenda.

I think I would've taken the shot. If you're going to carry a gun, be a proficient shooter.

How do you know he wasnt?

If I am ever in that situation I will protect myself and my family first, everyone else in on their own and should have been carrying.

I probably would have done the exact same thing, the only way I am taking a shot is if he is coming directly at me or my family. If that doesnt happen I mind my own business.

I'm impressed that he didn't shoot, he realized that he might hit someone if he missed.

I've said this before and I'll say it again...
I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with dudes like Alpha packing side arms
We're past the point of no return with weapons in this country - as has been stated over and over
At this point it's about making sure there are enough sane individuals with concealed firearms evenly distributed throughout the population

Write this down, it won't happen often: Alpha is right

Vermont already boasts a high rate of gun ownership along with the least
restrictive laws of any state ..
it's currently the only state that allows a citizen to carry a concealed firearm without a permit.
This combination of plenty of guns and few laws regulating them has resulted in a crime rate
that is the third lowest in the nation
Coincidence? I think not... :thumb: :thumb:

You would be giving someone a death sentance...no trial, no jury, nothing but you deciding what you thought was right, and no one but you pulling the trigger.

What if he was just about to wake up from his incident (maybe his meds were going to take effect) and was going to put the gun down, but you execute him a second too early?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...yet you are against the death penalty. :suspicious:

When someone is wielding a gun around in public - and has already fired it....
all bets are off at that point - he's a dead man walking

One can be against the Death penalty because 6% to 10% of the convictions are faulty
which is a completely different point

Ol cluck gets a little confused sometimes..... I'm with you - I'm opposed to the death penalty being carried out by the state because they kill too many innocent people.

I personally don't care if a state decides to have a death penalty
That's a States Rights thing (in my opinion)
I just understand the argument against it - an alarming percentage of death sentence convictions are wrong

Self defense isn't the same thing as the death penalty. Neither is defending innocents.

For someone who claims not to follow me, you sure do take every chance to you get to bring up arguments that are more than a year old. It must really bug you that I am against the death penalty. Keep it up, maybe you will convince me someday. :dunce:

 Had second thoughts about your other post? You deleted your stupidity...but not your ignorance.

War.     As though you get to define was war is. Tell me, why are we in Afghanistan? Tell me again, why is killing kids in Pakistan OK? You are going to walk up to the parent of a dead child and tell them what? That the kid was collateral damage but you support Obama's decision to make an individual decision, outside of the reach of Congress or the courts, to kill a potential enemy...one living in a mud hut half-way around the world and an "enemy" that only Obama gets to define as a bad guy while Obama gets to funnel hundreds of millions of dollars to some women raping, opium producing, mountain mobsters...all of which is OK by '86 because it is in the name of "war" (by the way...when did we actually declare it a war)?

Self-defense is what Alpha was talking about...not you. He mentioned he would not shoot if the guy wasn't bothering him. But you want to play hero and shoot the guy to defend other innocents...even if he might have given up in the next couple seconds. It is all about playing the odds...I prefer mine. You prefer yours. :coffee:

As far as "following you", I guess you don't like your own medicine. :kisswink:
