SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I would LIKE to say that that was an illegal hit, but it was as clean as could be, Andy. But compare that to THIS:

This statement confuses me. Why would you like this to be illegal?SuperHornet wrote:I would LIKE to say that that was an illegal hit, but it was as clean as could be, Andy.

Like I said don't believe the hype about kickers not having athletic ability.SuperHornet wrote:Kickers aren't supposed to have much presence of mind, either, but chech THIS out....

Re: Kickers aren't supposed to be able to do this, right?
It's not that I want the hit itself to be illegal. As a fan of the kicking game, I generally take the side of kickers (except when they categorically flop like a soccer player). I'm also not much of a Bears fan, and I hate defense. I prefer it when I can say that the defense cheated, but I don't want to change the rules to make it so because at some point, the game is changed so that football isn't football anymore. So I'll applaud the clean hit, particularly when done by a guy not generally expected to do so, but dislike those who hit to maim. That doesn't mean that THIS guy did, but MOST of those who do are on the defensive side of the ball.andy7171 wrote:This statement confuses me. Is that about as clear as mud?
