Luck leads in passing BECAUSE they have no run game and have to throw it 40 times a game. Any decent QB will get a lot of yards passing that much. Not saying Luck is bad, of course he's gonna be great, but he's by no means a lock for OROY.

Luck right now is 13 yds short of joining Cam Newton in the 4,000 yd club for rookie QBs and he could easily surpass Newton's mark of 4,018.

And yet Luck has led his team to the same record, with a mediocre running game and one of the worst defenses in the league. Like I've said, put Wilson in the same circumstances as Luck and I think you'd get a similar outcome.

All the Luck nut-huggers point to the Colts record this year over last year as the evidence as to why Luck deserves ROY. The thing is, the Colts weren't as bad as their record was last year. They weren't prepared to not have Manning play last year and thus didn't have a capable backup QB (Curtis Painter isn't even 3rd string material), not to mention when Manning is playing, he never gives any practice reps to the backups; he takes them all. The Colts played a 1st place schedule last year, vs. a very weak 4th place schedule this year. Lastly, it's not like Luck is the only new player on the team and thus the sole difference; there are something like 37 new players on the Colts roster this year. Luck is good and will likely be GREAT, but he's not the ROY.

Wasn't degrading him at all. I think he will reach Manning's status, and had a great rookie year, but RG3, Wilson, and Muscle Hamster all had better rookie seasons, IMO.
