Rushing yards by a rookie:
1. Eric Dickerson (1983, 1,808)
2. George Rogers (1981, 1,674)
3. Alfred Morris (2012, 1,613)

If you're basing it strictly on one number, Luck already smashed the record for passing yards by a rookie.89Hen wrote:BTW, if we're talking about ROY, the winner is on the Skins, but it's not RGIII.

Russell Wilson posted the highest differential between TDs and INTs for rookie QBs in NFL history at +16. He also tied Peyton Manning's rookie passing TD record (26), and could've broken it, but chose not to.Grizalltheway wrote:If you're basing it strictly on one number, Luck already smashed the record for passing yards by a rookie.89Hen wrote:BTW, if we're talking about ROY, the winner is on the Skins, but it's not RGIII.

Interestingly enough, Luck's passing and Morris' rushing totals put them both 48th best single season all-time, however, Luck was #7 in the NFL just this year while Morris was #2. Climbing the rushing ladder is MUCH harder than the passing one. Only four of the top 20 season passing yards were before 2000 (9 of the 20 were last year or this year). 12 of top 20 rushing totals were pre-2000 and four of them were pre-1980.Grizalltheway wrote:If you're basing it strictly on one number, Luck already smashed the record for passing yards by a rookie.

Morris got a lot of yards because of RG III, and in the end, that also helped RG III.89Hen wrote:Interestingly enough, Luck's passing and Morris' rushing totals put them both 48th best single season all-time, however, Luck was #7 in the NFL just this year while Morris was #2. How many times did you see him play? QB play always helps the running game, but Morris got a lot of yards because of Morris. I would want him on my team.Gil Dobie wrote:Morris got a lot of yards because of RG III, and in the end, that also helped RG III.

Defensive are we. It doesn't take anything away from either being team-mates. A good runningback helps a good QB, and a good QB helps a good runningback.89Hen wrote:How many times did you see him play? So where is Luck's RB he helped?Gil Dobie wrote:Defensive are we. It doesn't take anything away from either being team-mates. I don't think he is a fluke either, but the NFL is a QB league today, so they get most of the press and credit.89Hen wrote:So where is Luck's RB he helped?Gil Dobie wrote:

BTW, not defensive, I just feel bad for Morris as he's gotten lost in the discussion this year. I've watched a lot of Redskins games this year and he is an absolute stud. Runs unbelievably hard. I don't think his production this year was a fluke.

Is that person Russell Wilson the modern day version of Marlin Briscoe who tied Peyton Manning's rookie mark for td passes???Grizalltheway wrote:Really? Only one of them is one ESPN's MVP watch list, and it ain't him.AZGrizFan wrote:RGIII, and it ain't close.

What held him back from making history???Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Russell Wilson posted the highest differential between TDs and INTs for rookie QBs in NFL history at +16. He also tied Peyton Manning's rookie passing TD record (26), and could've broken it, but chose not to.Grizalltheway wrote:

RW puts the team first. All he cared about was getting into the endzone, so he ran it.dal4018 wrote:What held him back from making history???Screamin_Eagle174 wrote: Russell Wilson posted the highest differential between TDs and INTs for rookie QBs in NFL history at +16. Okay thanks a team first mentality.Sorry but when you as a black QB have chance to make history you go for it.Just like Cam did.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:RW puts the team first. All he cared about was getting into the endzone, so he ran it.dal4018 wrote:What held him back from making history???

So it is a race thing?dal4018 wrote:Okay thanks a team first mentality.Sorry but when you as a black QB have chance to make history you go for it.Just like Cam did.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote: RW puts the team first. All he cared about was getting into the endzone, so he ran it.

You didn't know that only blacks are selfish?grizzaholic wrote:So it is a race thing?dal4018 wrote:Okay thanks a team first mentality.Sorry but when you as a black QB have chance to make history you go for it.Just like Cam did.

Good defense? It was painful watching this season without Okafor and Karraker. There was ZERO pass rush yesterday.kalm wrote:Russell Wilson:
15-26 for 187 1 TD ) Int's 92.9 QB rating
7 rushes for 68 yards
Not bad for rookie debuting in his first playoff game against a good defense. Clearly the best performance of the three.

Huh? Wilson was hurried/had to scramble on a number of occasions.andy7171 wrote:Good defense? It was painful watching this season without Okafor and Karraker. There was ZERO pass rush yesterday.kalm wrote:Russell Wilson:
