I read that they did not film this together. Don't know why it would matter, but it's disappointing to me.

What I wonder is why anybody gives a crap about people who play golf. I mean, they obviously do. But, I mean, I hear people in the United States complain about how boring it is to watch soccer. Watching soccer is absolutely scintillating compared to watching people play golf.
How it is possible that someone could make a bunch of money playing golf because people want to watch it or give a crap about that is beyond me. To me it's like if people paid big money to watch people play tiddlywinks.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

The official name of the spot is "No Cup Is Safe"
Apparently "No Hole Is Safe" wasn't an option.

Sorry to spoil your bashing, but I like them both. From what I understand, people make themselves feel better when they have some sport they latch onto and bash all the other sports, aka sport snob. I'm a sports whore, I like most sports, just don't have time to follow all of them.JohnStOnge wrote:What I wonder is why anybody gives a crap about people who play golf. I mean, they obviously do. Agree on soccer. Disagree on golf. Then again I enjoy watching baseball so take my opinion with a grain of salt.JohnStOnge wrote:What I wonder is why anybody gives a crap about people who play golf. I like golf better because there is actual scoring.JohnStOnge wrote:What I wonder is why anybody gives a crap about people who play golf. I mean, they obviously do. But seriously, and especially in the age of HDTV, I enjoy the beauty of golf courses on TV and watching the decision-making that goes into club selection, how to approach the hole, etc. Plus I love watching Tiger get pissed off when a photographer queefs while he's in his backswing, or when he shanks a drive and then yells "FUCK - WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK - FUCK FUCK" in front of five year-old kids and a national audience.

Don't get me started on soccer........dumb offsides rule........clock........goals too small.....etc.
There are people (Cowherd) that complain that baseball is not progressive and that football is because it is constantly evolving. My answer is that baseball was near perfect when invented, and football is still far from perfect, so football has more evolving to do.
But as for golf, it is like anything else. If you don't play or don't have a favorite or a despised player or team, you won't find it interesting.
