In terms of receptions(743),yards (10,737)yes.Touchdowns no he has only 61 career tds.Next to Steve McNair he is probably the most important player to leave Alcorn St.

Pro Football Reference has Driver rated #38 all-time with #36 Drew Pearson, #37 Welker, #39 Charlie Joiner and #40 Tommy McDonald.

Muhammad only had 3 1000 yard season, Driver 7, same with 70+ catches in a season, Driver 7, Muhammad 3. I know you are a Vikings fan, and yes, Cris Carter should be a hall of famer and is much higher on the list than Driver. Driver had a Hall of Fame career considering who is in the Hall of Fame.

The fact he had EIGHT catches this past season...EIGHT. That put him TENTH on the team in receptions behind such super stars as Tom Crabtree, Cedric Benson, Alex Green, and John Kuhn. When you finish behing your teams second TE, fullback, 2nd and 3rd string RB who played in 66% less games than you during the season you are clearly no longer the best threat on the team at anything. He had 8 catches and Rodgers completed 371 passes....

If you've watched a Packer game (at all) in the last 2.5 to 3 seasons you'd notice that Finley, Cobb, James Jones, and Jordy Nelson are all a head on Driver as options.


I also submit that Eric Martin of the NO Saints, Tony Hill of the Cowboys, Ernest Givins of the Oilers, Anthony Miller of the Chargers/Broncos, Eddie Kinnison, Laveranues Coles, and Terry Glenn are all H.O.F. worthy as well....They all have very very catch, yardage, and td outputs per game as Driver....


Driver was a very very good WR, that may deserve the hall......it's too close to his career to really gauge it. It's the hall of fame though, not the hall of very good and dancing with the stars

Sorry guys, no DD in the Hall. He'll get in GB's own HoF, but he better not be in Canton. Heck, there are a lot of players in the Hall who shouldn't be there. I wish HoF's were more selective than they are. For me, the question is simple- can I tell the story of the NFL with or without you? If the answers is 'without you' then don't hold your breath.

I'm not a stats or personality guy. The following is the list of current WR's in the Hall.

Lance Alworth, Bobby Mitchell, Paul Warfield, Charley Taylor, Fred Biletnikoff, Steve Largent, Charlie Joiner, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Tommy McDonald, James Lofton, Michael Irvin, Art Monk, Jerry Rice, and now Cris Carter, Bob Hayes, Don Maynard, Raymond Berry, Don Hutson, among others (Elroy Hirsch). Donald Driver is nowhere close to the level of those guys as a player. I don't care what the numbers are, he played in a much softer NFL than all of those guys ever did. Props to DD on a fine career, but no Canton trip for you.

Really the first time I have heard anyone question Donald Driver's toughness.
Driver was a blue collar player, not afraid to go over the middle and get nailed by linebackers. The league may be soft and heading towards NFL flag football, but Driver was anything but soft.
