We actually offered a couple of those guys when they left high school. Collins has a philosophy to always offer top-notch guys even though they might verbal to an FBS school. That way if things don't work out at the FBS school, the kid knows he will probably be welcome at an FCS school like UNC. But you're right, hell Vince Jackson is our greatest athlete in school history and he was only offered by UNC and Colorado Mines. Stars don't always mean greatness.
Re: Your schools most impressive signee
That is correct. For instance, Joe Flacco transferred from Pitt to Delaware because he was unmotivated and had a horrible addiction to crack. He also punched a baby.jacksdude0109 wrote:just a heads up, these guys transfer for a reason.Beardown wrote:Check that. We have three 3 star recruits. I always wondered why he transferred. I thought it was related to the dog fighting.93henfan wrote:That is correct. Look, that's all part of the culture of middle-class, white kids growing up in South Jersey. Don't blame him for his culture.UD77 wrote:I always wondered why he transferred. I thought it was related to the dog fighting.93henfan wrote:

I'm pretty sure its been established that it was UND that offered this kid and not NDSU, although I could be wrong. Any UND fans on here know?.......I thought I seen a post about this from a UND fan. Either way congrats on getting the kid.biobengal wrote:Two sport athlete Sage Burmeister for Idaho State.
Chose the 1-10 Bengals over the back-to-back FCS champs.
