It seems that he confused Patrick's pole win for winning the Datona 500 itself, a full week before the race even happens.
I fully believe that she'll win. But at least I recognize that winning the pole and winning the race are two entirely different things.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

She had plenty of race-related press when she won at Twin Ring Motegi and before that when she finished fourth at the Indy 500.
