Cutler dealt to Bears for 2 picks, Orton
Jay Cutler told FOXSports.com Wednesday night that he thought he would be dealt to an NFC team.
He was right.
Cutler has been traded to the Chicago Bears for two first-round picks, a third-round pick and quarterback Kyle Orton, FOXSports.com has learned.
Denver will receive Chicago's first- and third-round pick in this year's draft, and Chicago's first-round pick in 2010, along with Orton. The Bears get Cutler and the Broncos' fifth-round pick this year.

Again the Patriots got screwed with that Cassel trade. I think the Bears gave way too much for Cutler though. I liked Orton, but he never really did much. Lets see how he does in Denver.

Yeah, gonna be hard for the Bears to maintain that old Defense with no first round picks the next two years.
Any bets on Broncos trading up in the draft to get a QB or do you think they will be smitten with a slightly above average experienced NFL QB?

Boy, Denver sure bent Chicago over the goal post and railed them hard. With no lube mind you. Chicago might as well have tossed in the keys to the stadium and a Happy Meal.

Um... but as of RIGHT NOW
1) The Bears are in super bowl contention
2) The Bronco's are not

Really? and who's going to be catching Cutler's passes? Bears are done...Cutler's a joke....watch as the locker room turns on this prima donna....they've gone from an everyday working stiff like Orton who took one for the team to a classless whiner who got offended because of possible trade talks.....what a fokking baby...so glad the Panther's didn't go after this overrated guy....Cleets Part 2 wrote:Um... but as of RIGHT NOW

I'll take that bet..!!!Appaholic wrote:Really? and who's going to be catching Cutler's passes? The Bears win that division (easy)
and
The Bronco's do not make the play-offs.
I get your point... (I'm no Bronco's fan) and I couldn't give a crap about Cutler... But The New Douche Bag in charge in Denver got what he deserved... you don't take a QB who just passed for 4,500 yards and has done everytthing you've asked him to do ... and not talk to him first before you try to trade him... it's bad form, and sneaky douche-baggery...
Today, the Bears are a better team than they were yesterday...

Instant gratification for Chicago, but a butt-kicking down the road by the Broncos.
Gotta admire new coaches huevos, he has a pair.

Re: Cutler dealt to Bears for 2 picks, Orton
Yes the bears are better than they were yesterday... but does geriatric defense still get them to the super bowl? Who does Cutler have to pass to now? Orton now has Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal... Cutler has Rashied Davis and two slightly above average TEs??? GB has Aaron Rodgers, Vikings will probably get their act together and find someone to get Berrian and Rice the ball, Detroit is most likely taking Matt Stafford... who had great potential as long as his O-line isn't providing him with a view of the ceiling. Calling that division now is ridiculous. The Bears have given themselves a better shot at winning it, but I don't think you can say they're going to take it.

Brandon Marshall will be a non-factor the first few games as he'll probably be suspended for them.

Re: Cutler dealt to Bears for 2 picks, Orton
Still leaves Eddie Royal who had a great rookie season... much better than any current Bear receiver

1. Bears get a crybaby who's never done anything.
2. Bears essentially hamstring themselves in terms of the draft for two years. (Though not as bad as the Vikings did in the Walker deal or the 'Aints did in the Williams fiasco.)
3. The one plus: Crybaby will be protected by the best pancake artist in the game.
4. Big Minus: No receiving corps for said crybaby.
5. Minus for Horseys: No QB to speak of.
6. Plus for Horseys: Grab bag of draft picks to do whatever with. Hopefully, it'll be wise choices.
Pending further review: Horseys win this trade by a mile.
