Bracket Impressions: 2013

Post by bonarae »

Highest seeded FCS team: Butler #6 East

Play-ins (pairs): 2 #16's, 1 #13, 1 #11 (Well, most bracketologists do not know that they can be flexible)

Unfortunately, Harvard is in the West bracket...
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

I think we should do a tourney challenge for fun on this site. Any takers? Yahoo or any other service?

Someone usually gets one up and going.

I think the bracket set up for the most upset noise is the East. I could easily see double-digit seeds meeting in the regional finals there. I'd love to see #15 take out #13 for the trip to the Final Four. With the emotional high UOP is on right now with HC Bob Thomason retiring after the NCAAs and this draw, that could EASILY happen. Syracuse and UNLV/Cal on the first weekend for Montana is an EXCELLENT draw for a #13 seed as well.

You forgot Georgetown.

That's OK, most of us do (with good reason). ;)

Its pathetic how they always pair the mid majors together. Scared to death to get the power conference teams humiliated. South Dakota State, Davidson, Belmont, and MTSU are the upsets.

I agree, the East is the most upset-worthy part of the bracket this year. Haven't filled mine yet... because we will still see who among the play-ins will be this year's VCU.

Oh well... they are afraid to see another Lehigh or Norfolk State...

And Georgetown, I always forget the fact that Georgetown ACTUALLY plays football... :dunce:

If the Griz somehow manage to miraculously get by Syracuse, they'd better HOPE that it's not UNLV waiting for them....

On the other hand, UNLV wouldn't be a de facto home team. UNLV losing could set up a Tinkle/Monty reunion, though.
