Georgetown goes down again in the Round of 64.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

Out of 15 current FCS teams who got Dance tickets, only two survive the Round of 64: Butler and Harvard.
Both games are today: Harvard vs Arizona 6:10 PM (TNT) and Butler vs Marquette 7:45 PM (CBS).

Georgetown always seems to come up short in the early rounds.dal4018 wrote:Why not that guy Porter for Gtown is being given player of the yr talk.tampajag wrote: Not surprised at all, really not suprised FGCU beat the Hoyas, just couldn't bring myself to pick them.

Georgetown has now been knocked out by a double digit seed in every tournament they've played in (5 total) since going to the Final Four

Not even close...
Prior to losing in the Semis to #1 seed Ohio State in 2007, Georgetown was knocked out of the Tournament by:
#3 seed Florida in the 2006 Sweet 16
#3 seed Maryland in the 2001 Sweet 16
#7 seed Charlotte in the 1997 Round of 64
#1 seed Massachusetts in the 1996 Elite 8
#2 seed North Carolina in the 1995 Sweet 16
#1 seed Arkansas in the 1994 Round of 32
#3 seed Florida State in the 1992 Round of 32
#1 seed UNLV in the 1991 Round of 32
#6 seed Xavier in the 1990 Round of 32
The only other Tournament loss prior to 1990 to a double-digit seed came in 1981 when Georgetown lost to #10 seed James Madison in the Round of 64.
Even in the historic loss in the 1985 Championship game to Rollie Massimino's Villanova squad, the "great underdog" Villanova team was a #8 seed.
Georgetown had won the National Championship in 1984.

... and Harvard's season came to a crashing end tonight, as we were blown out by Arizona 74-51. So much for being a #14. History is not on our side.

Gonzaga bites the dust. Wichita State to the Sweet 16.
If Iowa State wins tomorrow, you would have a 6, 9, 10, and either a 12 or 13 seed left in the West bracket.

If Ohio St. doesn't win that region, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Re: Men's NCAA Tournament 2013
And you apparently don't know shit about OSU. In none of my brackets did I have the Zags making it to the elite 8, so this WSU "upset" wasn't really an upset to me.You don't know **** about wsu, do you?

Anything is possible Southern almost pulled off the greatest upset in the history in the men's tourney if they had they would have joined the lady crimson of Harvard when they knocked off Stanford from the late 90s.Seahawks08 wrote:If Ohio St. doesn't win that region, they should be ashamed of themselves.
