We've got some asshats to be sure, but no more so than some other teams. AGS has a lot of ASU posters so the sheer volume of negative posters seems disproportionate. There are a couple on there that just need to pipe down from time to time.

Someone from McNeese (I forget if it was the AD, SID, or what) said in an article that the game is still on as far as he knows... but, I think we will probably buy it out.

Once the elite 64 split off, I think we'll all be back together again anyway.

This era will likely prove to be similar to the late 70s / early 80s when D-1 and D-2 split in three to D-IA, D-IAA, and D-II. ODU, Apps, and GSoU are the early adopters, like FAMU, UMass, etc were in I-AA for a few years while UD and Youngstown stuck in D-II a few more years.

After it all shakes out, most of us will still be the "second tier" as we've always been. Some current FCS may de-emphasize and go down in classification, but the Montanas, UNIs, JMUs, UDs, Apps, GSoUs etc will all fall back under the same umbrella someday. The Bamas and USCs don't want us, and they have the money to make it that way.

Yeah, he pretty much nailed it. Boise St is probably the only school that truly made a real move up, and even then, their fate is still in the hands of the emerging elite 64, who can tell them to piss up a rope by not including them in their little country club when the four power conferences pick their final crumbs to get to 16 teams.
