At 6-6, she should be playing QB...and she probably would have started in front of Heinicke.
Again with the jokes??

Why do you say that? The best historical QB heights have been 6'2"-6'4". The last guy I remember at 6'6" in the NFL was Dan McGwire, and he absolutely stunk the joint up....
McGwire was listed at 6-8.

Nope. That's typically the way it goes, especially over the last decade or so.
So all of four "upsets" in the first round. I'm close to the top in the ESPN standing again.

Not a very deep talent pool in women's basketball. You should pick chalk almost exclusively in the women's game.

Maybe the most electric event in the history of the Bob Carpenter Center last night. The Tar Heels go down to the Blue Hens.

Tar Hell coach is whining about the fouls.

Are you kidding me? They were hacking, grabbing, pushing, chopping, elbowing on every damned play. Watching the replay confirms it...and the announcers (ESPN announcers) were saying EDD was getting fouled and nothing was getting called. Their 6'6" girl just plowed into EDD while she was shooting early in the game and not a single whistle blew.

Tjhe refs finally got their whistles out of their pockets and started calling stuff before the game got out of hand. Cripes, half the Carolina squad would have fouled out in the first half alone had the game been called correctly.

Sour grapes by their coach. :ohno:

Far away in mile-high air, the No. 4 seed South Carolina women's basketball team Monday night suffered a 75-69 NCAA tournament upset loss to No. 12 Kansas.

Surely, Dawn Staley's Gamecocks would have fared better in a Columbia Regional — prohibited by the NCAA because the Confederate flag still flies on S.C. Statehouse grounds — than in Boulder, Colo.

The flag flap almost certainly cost South Carolina a trip to the Sweet 16, but ill-conceived NCAA punishment of our state isn't effective. Worse, it has backfired and should be shelved.

True, but it would be easy to simply ban South Carolina, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, The Citadel, Mississippi and Mississippi State from bidding to host a baseball regional.

Why not?

Money, that's why. Those No. 2 and No. 3 seeded baseball programs usually do not draw as well as, say, Carolina Stadium with its 8,242 capacity.

Here is a short list of sports organizations not punishing South Carolina for its flag obsession: NFL (Carolina Panthers training camp in Spartanburg); NBA, NHL and major league baseball (all with recent exhibition games); PGA and LPGA; WTA (Family Circle Cup); WWE (various Smackdowns); and almost every NCAA sport except basketball.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

Delaware can now revert to their previous status of complete basketball irrelevance. :coffee:

We're as relevant as Montana, which is not relevant at all. That's all I'm saying. UD women have been top 15 two years in a row and now Sweet Sixteen. Has any Montana basketball team ever accomplished that? Top 15 and make it to Sweet 16. Let me know. Thanks.

The Lady Griz made the Sweet 16 in 1984 & the men made it in 1975.

But my point was that Delaware is again irrelevant, just like they were before they lucked into Della Donne. ;)

Hey, Delaware didn't have a CBS analyst go out on a moronic limb to pick their team to pull an upset, now did they? That takes a program with gravitas. So there… :coffee:

I have no idea what you're talking about. I honestly don't follow basketball at any level. I also don't come in after someone loses and try to piss on them. But whatever makes you happy. I usually congratulate them for what they accomplished and move on my merry way. I always envisioned most Montana fans being of sort of the same mindset, but you clearly demonstrate that there's a Skjellyfetti in every fanbase.

And Flacco's no Danny White…

Seriously, though, Della Donne's a really good player & Delaware was the team I was most rooting for after Montana lost to Georgia. I wish the Lady Griz could "luck" into that caliber of player. They kinda did something similar with Mandy Morales (came home to UM after committing to Arizona State because her grandmother was seriously ill), but she—though a great player (Honorable Mention All-American 4 times)—wasn't quite at Della Donne's level.

Could you imagine a Flacco/Della Donne luv child? That kid would almost be as awesome as Iowa...
