Old Dominion hires American's Jeff Jones

When Old Dominion's Blaine Taylor suddenly was fired in February after 11-plus years with the Monarchs, American's Jeff Jones was one of the first names mentioned as a possible replacement.

On Wednesday, David Teel of the Daily Press (Va.) reported Jones will be the next head coach at Old Dominion.
