Give it your best shot, and I'll be glad to school you too, again. :coffee:
Stat rates are worthless.......most countries with low statutory rates have extremely broad bases.

We have a high rate and ridiculously narrow base.

Lowwwwwwwww ETRs.

Oh and yes.....Id most definitely hit it.
No, comparatively speaking, they have a narrower base, but they do have extremely simplified tax codes compared to what we have here.

Having said that, statutory rates aren't worthless because to lower their ETR, they have to spend (collectively) half of what they pay in taxes in compliance costs alone.

So when GE pays $0 taxes in a given year, they pay 50% of that in tax law bills? Either you or BDK already had your shit beaten on this issue by Danefan a few months ago...

That's why I said "collectively", Einstein. For every GE, I can give you an Eaton Corporation or a Transocean or a Cooper Industries, all of whom closed up their corporate HQ in the US specifically because of our confiscatory corporate income tax rates and are now headquartered in Ireland, Switzerland, or the UK.

And no, nobody got their shit beaten from anyone on this issue a few months ago. :coffee:
