Who's going to call plays this year in Big D?

Post by SuperHornet »

Owner Jerry Jones has supposedly "publicly neutered" HC Jason Garrett, throwing open the assumption that new OC Bill Callahan will call offensive plays this year. This blogger seems to think that Jones might be a bit more devious than that, seeing that the Cowboys' leadership seems to think that QB Tony Romo is the next best thing to a god. Apparently, Romo just might be first QB in the modern era since Peyton Manning to run the show.

Normally, I would be all for this, but I'm of the opinion that Romo can't quarterback his way out of a wet paper bag. If this pans out, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys go 0-16....

Callahan stunk up the Cornhusker state, now he's going on to bigger things, the Lone Star state. :ohno:

That's bull crap, ASU. Marino was the Man in Miami. He had an amazing quick release, and he wasn't pick-prone. Romo can't play his way out of a wet paper bag. He throws interceptions at the worst possible times, and he can't even handle a PAT snap without bobbling it.

Particularly in this day and age where teams let people who don't handle the ball all that much handle conversions rather than risk the team "god," a quarterback who's allowed to do what quarterbacks have ALWAYS done had better NOT make a mistake with that....

Save us Kyle Orton, you're our only hope?

Watching the Cowgirls' fans be so pissy makes me happy. :thumb:

Don't put words in my mouth, ASU. As bad as that incompetent Romo is, I'd rather have HIM than Orton. Orton can't win even if he gets Randy Orton to RKO everyone on the defense....

Randy Orton would throw for 7000 yards with 58 TDs and rush for another 2100 yards with 21 TDs. 8-)

To answer your question, Jerry Jones will be calling plays again this year. When it doesn't work out, he'll fire the HC/OC/DC.
