It would be fairly easy to stop the riots.

Issue PSA telling people that they will be shot on sight if they participate or are even out on the street when the rioting occurs. Then follow through with the plan.

It may not work this time because everyone knows this country (especially the east coast) is a bunch of pussys willing to deal with real problems. BUT it would definitely give the rioters in upcoming "travesties" something to think about.

The harder you hit somebody the faster it stops.

Ok, I made an OSBF like math mistake in the other thread, but think you're making one here. Sure with 12 people there are 12 different combos by sex, but I highly doubt 1 in 12 juries picked have 12 women and zero men, or 12 men and zero women for that matter....

I'm thinking its just like if someone had 12 kids- what are the odds all 12 would be one sex? More like one in several thousand....
1 kid: 1/2 chance boy, 1/2 chance girl
2 kids: 1/4 chance 2 girls, 1/4 chance 2 boys, 50/50 1 girl, 1 boy.
3 kids 1/8 chance all 3 one sex
4 kids 1/16 chance all 4 one sex
5 kids 1/32 chance all 5 one sex
and on and on till
12 kids, 1/4096 chance all one sex.

Every time I've had jury duty and had to show up, the jury pool seemed to be roughly about 50/50 men/women.

I live about 10 miles south of where this all went down and in the same county so let me shed some local flavor on this.

Sanford has a LOT of black people even though Seminole County is overwhelmingly white, educated, and is one of the most upwardly mobile counties in the state. Those blacks are the decendants of slaves and farm workers and are overwhelmingly uneducated, poor, and on the government dole.

The prosecution is going for murder 2 in a case where there are no eyewitnesses, the "victim" can't testify, the "perp" claims self defense and walked away with a broken nose, two black eyes, and cuts and knots on the back of his head. Murder 2 carries a higher standard of proof under Florida law- not a preponderance of the evidence but no reasonable doubt.

It would seem like the case is there to win for the defense... and if, or when, it goes down that way I'm 10000000 percent sure the rate baiting carpet baggers will be back in town stirring up the uneducated lemmings.

A group of protesters plans to hold a “National Hoodie March” in Sanford this morning as jury selection in the George Zimmerman trial gets underway.

The group plans to gather in front of the Seminole County Courthouse at 9 a.m. to demand justice for Trayvon Martin. At noon, protesters wearing hoodies plan to pull their hoodies over their heads.
“We want justice for Trayvon Martin. … This is something we’re determined to struggle for, and you know, it’s the only way it’s going to happen is if people in huge numbers around the country show up and show their solidarity and demand it,” one protester said.
