bluehenbillk wrote:Granted Worley did nothing for the Twins, but Revere is just not going to be a good player. His positives: His speed - it can get him some extra infield hits & he can cover a lot of ground in CF. His negatives: He has zero power, not just HR power, but extra base hits even look rare. His defense is below average, he misplays balls hot to him, doesn't always catch them & makes Johnny Damon look like he has a strong arm.
He just missed out on the steroid era. He coulda been a contender.

If the Phillies have another 3-7 road trip, will Cholly have his job when they get back home?

the entire NL East is god-awful this year. Every team is near or under .500 and the "best team", the Bravos, have been playing .500 ball since their 12-1 start. Says a lot that the Marlins are playing like their the best team in the division right now.

True, the NL East has played second fiddle to the Central so far this year.

Patience. IF everyone stays healthly, when Harper comes back, the Nats will be better than god-awful.

Anthony Rendon could be the best rookie nobody has heard of.

Well, they tried their best, but Lee and the Phillies couldn't quite blow all of a 5-0 lead last night!

Lee has issues holding 4-0 leads I believe. Once it got to 5-0 the win was in the bag. :thumb:

Did the Phillies win yesterday? Who did they play next? How many games out are they now? How's Ryan Howard doing?

15 days on the DL will probably RAISE his batting average. :coffee:

May be on 15 day DL but ESPN is reporting he'll be out 6-8 weeks.

We should be so lucky. He's done, and we have to pay that stiff big bucks for the next 3 years.

Well the Mets will be paying Bobby Bonilla a salary until 1935 and he hasn't worked for them since 1996.
