You have to make the playoffs before that happens......

No ****. Weber showed everyone what they were made of when they got blanked 38-0 by William and Mary in 2009.

The 08 Weber State is the one I want back, however, Weber State is far from being what they were in 08. hopefully now that Sears is running his OWN team now, and we actually have an offensive coordinator who knows what he's doing in Pflugrad Weber might start being competitive again.

I don't remember what ended Weber's season in 2008 but I do remember that Weber St ended Cal Poly's.....and the 2008 Cal Poly team was the gold standard in their D1 history. If I look back, that 2008 team still looks amazing. :coffee:

We did. And they're still butt hurt about it because they couldn't beat EWU and lock up home field.

With Pflugrad they'll definitely have a good enough offense in a few years. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as their next head coach, either. Then all bets are off.

EWU will win another before Vernon Adams graduates, most likey in 2014 or 2015 when Adams is a Jr. or Sr., and we have DJ Martin running the ball. Both years set up nicely with an easier conference schedule than we had last year or this year.

2014

AUG 30 -
SEP 06 - @ WASHINGTON
SEP 13 - vs. SHSU
SEP 20 - @ MSU (non-conference)
SEP 27 - @ UC Davis
OCT 04 - vs. ISU
OCT 11 - @ SUU
OCT 18 - vs. UNC
OCT 25 - @ NAU
NOV 01 - vs. UND
NOV 08 - vs. Montana
NOV 15 -
NOV 22 - @ PSU

2015

SEP 05 - @ OREGON
SEP 12 -
SEP 19 - vs. MSU (non-conference)
SEP 26 - @ SAC
OCT 03 -
OCT 10 - vs. Cal Poly
OCT 17 - @ ISU
OCT 24 - @ UNC
OCT 31 - vs. Weber
NOV 07 - vs. NAU
NOV 14 - @ Montana
NOV 21 - vs. PSU

Wait, a guy who doesn't even have a carry yet is going to be a key instrument in leading you to a championship?

It's no different than Griz fans claiming Jordan Johnson was going to rape the BSC a couple years ago. :coffee:

If you've watched Martin's tape, you'd know that he's a Pac-12 starting caliber player and difference maker who's playing at EWU because of grades, just like Taiwan Jones. Martin is more solidly built and much more physical, albeit a little slower. Regardless, Vernon Adams will be the main reason we win another title in the next three years.

We would have played at Montana whether we beat EWU or not, If an 8-1 Conference record plus a 45-28 win over then #3 Montana who also finished 8-1 in conf wasnt enough, beating a then 5-3 EWU at home wouldnt have helped.

Had we beaten EWU, we would at most had a first round home game, but then would have been sent to MIssoula for rnd 2. Money talks

Not sure about NC, but EWU most likely wins another BSC title before Montana does...unless the Griz have made some massive improvements in the off-season.

It's only potential but the coaching staff knew they had something special in TJ before he took the field too.

Every school's recruiting classes are "great...the best ever...etc" on signing day. That being said, the NC hasn't hurt our recruiting any. But since we're projecting about Martin and VA, I'll throw Cooper Cupp in there as reason #3 that we could do it again.

But you would have been 9-0 in conference, and would have gotten a seed because you were ranked ahead of us and had the head to head win.

Had you beaten EWU, the game would have been in Ogden.

If the team that got the Big Sky's Automatic bid into the playoffs had to go play on the road in round one against a team who's conference at the time didnt have an automatic bid (not saying Cal Poly wasnt good), what makes you think Weber/Griz.2 would have been in Ogden? They gave the seed to the team that basically finished 2nd. I have no doubts at all in my mind that the only thing beating EWU would have done for us would have been a first round home game.

And at no time in the year 08 was Weber ever ranked higher than Montana. Before losing to EWU, Weber was at #9 and UM was at #5 I believe. Weber never even broke into the top 10 till the 10th week into the season.

Cal poly no doubt. They are only going to get better. Theyve got a couple things going for them. They are in CA, so they have access to some great talent. Also the campus is right on the beach, which is a huge draw. I see them getting better each year.

The Griz had a record below .500 last year for the first time in 25 years. One year does not a trend make.
The Jacks didn't collapse after Halloween last year for the first time in 15 years. One year does not a trend make.
