The Navy's pirate interdiction policy allows for unauthorized intervention unless a civilian is in harms way...and if a civilian is in harms way, the chain of command must be followed. That was done at the onset of this interdiction...and the Navy's just been waiting for an opportunity. Obama had NOTHING to do with the success of this rescue...if anything, thanks should go to Captain Phillips who repeatedly placed his life in harms way to facilitate closure to this incident.

Anyways, I get your point, a lot more of the credit should probably go to the Secretary Of State, but Obama is still her boss.
