Hmm, should be interesting to see if he's "suspended" for the first game like last year...

Ppppphhht. A pair of has-been programs who ain't done shit since the last decade anyway.SACCAT wrote:Come on now griz fans, you can't suspend a player until the justice system has run it's course....Right?
You act as though Johnson didn't miss an entire season because of a crime he didn't commit.SACCAT wrote:Come on now griz fans, you can't suspend a player until the justice system has run it's course....Right?
I didn't say Johnson. I meant that you hear that a lot from griz fans ( not all) when one of there players gets in trouble.Grizalltheway wrote:You act as though Johnson didn't miss an entire season because of a crime he didn't commit.SACCAT wrote:Come on now griz fans, you can't suspend a player until the justice system has run it's course....Right?

So all arrests should result in suspension? For how long?SACCAT wrote:Come on now griz fans, you can't suspend a player until the justice system has run it's course....Right?
I'm with ya to an extent Grizfan5. For your JJ to miss an entire season only to be acquitted after the season was over was crazy, and I'd argue he probably should have played until he was found not guilty. I doubt there's much question about whether Price was AT LEAST guilty of underage drinking - the rest, who knows. I think what's really in question here is that the program has really been trying to clamp down on off the field "distractions" as it's been getting relatively sloppy over the past couple of seasons. The athletes are held to something akin to an honor code, and you break it, you get punished. I don't like that this happened, but if it's all true then I think Satterfield has to stick to his guns and punish him appropriately.GrizFan5 wrote:So all arrests should result in suspension? What if it was a false arrest? What if no charges are filed, or charges are dropped? What if there is evidence of police misconduct? What if it is thought that charges will be dropped, or reduced to some insignificant?
If it's thought that the charges are bogus and will go away, what's wrong with letting the justice system run its course?
What if players and 50 witnesses, as well as some audio/video, are saying that the police singled out two black players, at the exclusion of white players, made racial statements and slurs, and forced the confrontation? Do you support your players, and team, or do you cater to those not in the know and opposing team's fans?
What's wrong with other discipline and punishment? Does it always have to be a suspension?
Yeah, but not having to double-team a player on every down will make a huge difference for our secondary. Not a knock on App as a team, but Price is a huge playmaker for them.grizzaholic wrote:App will be fine. Players will step up.
Good on the new coach to set a good example right out of the gate for not putting up with any shit.
well... He could have saved him by keeping him out of this game. I remember a couple of hits from Keith Thompson in 2009....SDSU and ASU that looked massive.Grizalltheway wrote:Yeah, but not having to double-team a player on every down will make a huge difference for our secondary. We know he cares, at least a little, because he uses the 'shift' key. THAT key is farther off than the period and comma.
Hmmm, sounds pretty delusional. Let's see what ASU and Montana have done in the last decade and compare it to EWU.kalm wrote:Ppppphhht.
