Eagles at Deadskins

Post by ∞∞∞ »

First of all, the 'skins shouldn't have any points right now, but otherwise, this game is a thing of beauty. As of halftime, I'm EXTREMELY surprised by the Eagles' defense, but the 'Skins have also been sucking more than they usually do. First game is never a great indicator anyways, but I'm liking what I see so far.

That said, while I'm loving the offense, I question how long the Eagles can keep it up over the course of a season. I'm getting a bit afraid that the high pace is gonna kill Vick (among others). It's only the first game and he's already getting smacked around a bit back there and slow to get up. The more plays CK runs, the bigger of a chance Vick has of getting injured. Foles better be ready later this year.

McCoy's TD was the sickest run of the first week.

Kelly doesn't care. This is supposed to be a rebuilding year, and his hand chosen QB is still 3rd string at this point.

But anyway, how about this COMPLETE ASS KICKING the Eagles are throwing on the Redskins! LOVE IT!!!  :notworthy:

It's always great watching the 'Skins get destroyed, and infinitely better when its at the hands of the Eagles.

Nah, I've been an Eagles fan since forever. I just don't post about NFL games often.

Eagles try to make this interesting with the turnover.

The Eagles better not fuck this up. I don't think they will, but the momentum is shifting (too little, too late?). Phila's gotta stomp on Washington's throat, put the pedal to the metal, and all that other stuff...

Just gotta score here and put this game to bed.

Kelly will not stop attacking, which opens up the turnover possibilities.

All I cared about was Jackson getting 3.5 points in fantasy football. Did it early, so I didn't have to watch the rest of the game.

One of the joys of working in Redskins territory: going to work the day after a Redskins loss.

I wore my Eagles golf shirt to work today and slipped in my office without any coworkers noticing. I waited until the sorrowful talk started in earnest and then I ventured out of the office, coffee in hand. These people did not know I was an Eagles fan yet.

Damn, you missed the part where Eagles fans pooped their pants a little in the fourth quarter. They let off the gas too soon, and Chip Kelly admitted it.

I was just reading about the Eagles first two drives last night. The play clock never got below 13 seconds on any play of the first drive and only got below 15 seconds once on the second drive.

The average NFL team ran 64.9 offensive plays in week 1 games. The Eagles ran 53 offensive plays in the first half.

If you least coast fools had bothered to stay up and watch Oregon games, you wouldn't be so astounded by this. :coffee: :kisswink:

ODU vs. UNH 2012.
ODU ran 108 plays in regulation. It was sunny and the air temp was in the mid to upper 80's. Much hotter on the field. The 5 offensive linemen for ODU played every down.

Wow. Just got back from lunch. Went over to the Marine Corps Exchange for some tacos. As I'm sitting down at a table, the cleaning guy (they're all a little off on federal installations) looks at my Eagles shirt and literally hisses at me. I thought I was going to get jacked. I had one foot out from under the table and was ready to run. He looked like he meant business for a second, but then he just shook his head and went to the next table. Whew!
