Re: 2013 NFC B/West Thread
Run up the score on Harbaugh and his douchey face. Happy Birthday Carroll!
Re: 2013 NFC B/West Thread
The reality of the situation though, and they just said it on tv, is all Seattle did was hold serve at home.
SE is going to beat his chest, because that's what he does...but that's all that happened in the grand scheme of things
Meanwhile, I'm stuck cheering for a team that plays Christian fucking Ponder

Pundits and your way of dismissing how dominant Seattle's D is, and how deep the team is overall. We've given up 10 points through two games, both wins, one home one away, despite playing without our top two pass rushers and a pro bowl corner.clenz wrote:The reality of the situation though, and they just said it on tv, is all Seattle did was hold serve at home.

Re: 2013 NFC B/West Thread
Just as I feared, Seattle looks legit.
Kaepernick looked lost whenever he was put in a bad situation.
That, to me, is the biggest thing Wilson has over Kaep.
Nice win, Seahawks.

Oh...now you want to talk about how dominating defenses will make a team great...
However, college ball must be different....defenses don't matter there?

Re: 2013 NFC B/West Thread
It's only one part of why Seattle has a great team. We have a great offense as well, granted it's looked rusty through two games. Still, Lynch beasted through the NFL's best front 7.clenz wrote:Oh...now you want to talk about how dominating defenses will make a team great...

Also, I never said defenses don't matter. My contention was that EWU's offense is so potent that we can not only get by but make another deep run with average to subpar play from the D, just like last year.

You're offense is getting outscored by a team lead by Christian "Close my eyes think of my wife and throw the ball randomly into the air" Ponder

No, a team led by the best back in the NFL, by far.clenz wrote:You're offense is getting outscored by a team lead by Christian "Close my eyes think of my wife and throw the ball randomly into the air" Ponder
Re: 2013 NFC B/West Thread
Christian fucking Ponder is still the one taking the snaps and "throwing" what he tells us are "passes"....Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:No, a team led by the best back in the NFL, by far.clenz wrote:You're offense is getting outscored by a team lead by Christian "Close my eyes think of my wife and throw the ball randomly into the air" Ponder

Re: 2013 NFC B/West Thread
Holy JSO batman...ok three things here:Of course I didn't watch the game. My favorite team was on another channel playing their game. I don't have time to watch this game when the Vikings are on FOX and my Sunday Ticket is set to another game. I don't have any Seahawks or Cardinals in fantasy so you bet I didn't watch a lick of this game. Go ahead and read what someone who actually watched the game said. http://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... -efficient
So it's clearly not a "wild accusation." The Panthers themselves AGREE WITH MY ASSESSMENT. You, being the knowledgeable, unbiased observer that you are, obviously must know better than someone who actually plays the damn game for a living and is in fact a current member of said awful unit.![]()
Carolina knew that Seattle would pass and they still couldn't stop them. They had, like that article said, the worst completion % against them last year. Josh Thomas and Captain Munnerlyn are nickel backs on every other team in the league. Their secondary is a joke. They only look half-decent at times because their front 7 can bail them out.
GB is not worse, don't forget they had Casey Heyward out last week. St. Louis definitely isn't the worst with Jenkins and Finnegan, NO...maybe but they at least have a promising rookie (Vaccaro) and a Pro Bowl-caliber DB in Malcolm Jenkins. But if we use your logic- they had little trouble slowing down the mighty Falcons' WRs on Sunday. So they're actually a really tough secondary.![]()
Minnesota has a lot of average guys with the exceptional Harrison Smith at S. But they're not atrocious by any means. You idiots continue to go by yards allowed when there is simply much more that goes into being a good secondary...like completion % against, ypa allowed, etc.
What sample size argument can you make? This is Wilson's 1st 300 yard regular season game ever which somehow proves in SE's mind that Seattle's WRs are all going to the HoF someday. (They'll be lucky to make the Seahawks' HOF if you ask me). Just man up and admit that your team is not elite at WR and this pointless argument goes away. Is it not enough to be elite everywhere else except WR for you? Are Seachickens fans so spoiled and provincial that they cannot tolerate being criticized for any little thing? Go pop some adderall and come back when you'v calmed down. Sheesh.
1. My logic on NO and the rest is not based off of one game, so no they still are not a strong secondary (Even though I will give them credit for being better than last year
2. You never go into a Seattle game thinking Seattle will pass the ball. They are a run first offense even against tough matchups like tonight against SF.
3. I will never call SEA WRs elite...ever. B/c they aren't. They get the job done, that is all I ask for.

Also, Seattle broke the record tonight for loudest crowd noise at 136.6 decibels.

Yeah yeah. Who cares? They whooped SF at home last year and no-showed 3 quarters of the Divisional round against Atlanta. Your receivers were so impressive last night.Grizalltheway wrote:Crow crow crow crowrkwittem wrote: Laugh it up now...I'll be here after the She-hawks get beat.

Honestly, I think we'll struggle with Seattle unless we can get Crabtree back.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:More impressive than Boldin.rkwittem wrote:

Sherman took Boldin completely out of the game, and our other WRs didn't step up at all.
