Jamie Foxx-vs-Miley Cyrus
Don't know if any of you caught this thing last night but it was all over the news this morning. Apparently Jamie Foxx and some other people on some radio network slammed Miley Cyrus...big time.
"Foxx, 41, told her to get a gum transplant and to "make a sex tape and grow up... Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin... get some crack in your pipe... Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat."
Someone else is heard calling her a "white bitch.""
Will he get into the same trouble as Don Imus, NO way in hell.
Just sayin.

I think he meant to say "Catch gonorrhea from a tractor seat"
Jamie Foxx also doesn't syndicated radio show and didn't really say anything racist... the host did. I laughed at this part:

She's going to ruin Radiohead???The actor/rapper’s outburst was fueled by a caller who brought up a recent story in which Cyrus pledged to “ruin” the band Radiohead after the notoriously shy rockers rejected a request to meet with the Disney superstar backstage at the Grammys .

Re: Jamie Foxx-vs-Miley Cyrus
she's going to attempt to "sing" Creep... at which Thom Yorke might die from shame.
it'd be one thing to be outraged by this if it were relevant... Foxx's comments (not the "white bitch" said by someone else) were speaking to the reality about Cyrus... she's the next in the line of talentless white jailbait ass crammed down our maws by disney (this time) or jive records (late 90's boy bands)
he's right that it's only a matter of time before she starts doing pathetic and desperate things to stay relevant... and once she's used up and a wreck... we'll find a new one to do it to... don't worry Disney is already warming them up in the bullpen.

Funny you say "this time".... Jamie Foxx was spot on when he said Britney and Lindsay, both of whom were once the darling virgins of the Disney corporation. Kids grow up and the stars of their youth become irrelevant.

Here is a different way of looking at it. Why the hell should Jamie Fox give a rats ass about Cyrus and hey does he or any one else feel required to make comments of any nature about a 16 year old. Whatever you think of Cyrus talent I am quite sure she has done absolutely nothing to Foxx or any of the people on this message board to harm them.
It is one thing to scream about politicians that impact your life, but you simply sound like an asshole when you go after someone like this who has done nothing to you.
Foxx is a creep and apparently so are a lot of you. Foxx's comments were simply to create airplay for him. He is a real good guy

Imus' comment was racial. Racial comments don't stop at the individual being attack they impact everyone because the comment was targeted at a group. I am not sure they are comparable.grizzaholic wrote:Not defending Imus, but Foxx will not get the backlash that Imus did...no way in hell.OL FU wrote:Here is a different way of looking at it. Re: Jamie Foxx-vs-Miley Cyrus
They are exactly comparable. If Imus or even someone on his show had said "Black Bitches" instead of Nappy...then he would have had even more heat on him. I heard the bit they were doing and it is on Jamie Fox's radio show on Sirius. One of the co-hosts said the "white bitch" part and he should receive the same treatment that Imus should have received...nothing should happen over this. It is a comedy show and they make fun of all different things just like Imus used to do. Comedy shows that are on exteme language formats do a more risque type of humor for those that want that sort of thing and it should be left to thrive, or die, on it's own.OL FU wrote:Imus' comment was racial. The fact that she is a 16 yr. old girl does not make her a sacred cow in my eyes either. She can be made fun of for having an over inflated sense of self worth in this case. She's going to ruin Radiohead because they didn't want to give her the time of day? She can be ridiculed right along anyone else that says some dumb shit.

Miley is an ugly no-talent hack, who somehow managed to be the worst singer that performed on American Idol this week (she did her new song tonight on the results show).

I agree, they are comparable. It's time that white America "grew a pair" and put an end to the double standard. If you want to be respected, you have to respect others.Ursus A. Re: Jamie Foxx-vs-Miley Cyrus
Agreed. Was thinking the same exact thing. Imus infused race into the discussion by calling them Rutgers women "nappy haired ho's"...absolutely inappropriate. Doesn't matter what or who the circumstances are...calling Miley Cyrus a "white bitch" is hateful racism...Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:They are exactly comparable. Foxx should be called out and professionally censured for stating and allowing those hateful comments on his show.

yes the white bitch comment is comparable, I wasn't focused on that. And you are correct being 16 does not protect you and you right the shows should be allowed to die or thrive on their own.Ursus A. But I am right, his comments were over the top about making a sex movie and people predicting (hoping) she end up like Lohann and Spears. Geez, we are ridiculous buncn.
She like most 16 year olds needs to grow up and hopefully this will help her. But I ain't wishing her ill (and I know you didn't) just like I hope Lohann and Spears get it together. I am just that kind of guy

Agreed on one point, but not for the same reason. No, Jamie will not get into trouble like Imus did, but not because of some mythical reverse racism. 1. Don Imus was on a nationaly syndicated show on CBS radio- FREE radio. Jamie Foxx's show is on Sirius radio, which you have to purchase to hear. There is a different standard for that.
2. Jamie Foxx didn't call Mylie a white b**ch, Claudia Jordan did. Claudia is obviuosly female. For those out of the loop, Claudia is a model, she's on Deal or no Deal.
3. The show is a comedy show. I don't like it, because I think it goes WAY too far (believe me, much worse things have been said than what was said about Mylie), but it is a comedy none the less. Imus tries to be some sort of political and social commentator, which puts him in another context.
4. The context of the argument was not racial, a barely audible racial comment was made in the background. Don Imus INTENTIONALLY, contextually, made racial and sexist insults.
5. Mylie is a celebrity, the Rutgers basketball team was not.
