Yeah, you do that, Dick Head. :thumb:
I will, cum trap.

Maybe because 800,000 people suddenly not getting paid will destroy any economic progress? Keep in mind there are more people on furlough as of today than work in the US automobile industry. I don't recall what the exact number is on how much this will reduce GDP, but it is not pretty. Not to mention the facts that the cost of a shutdown outweighs our meager salaries saved.

The shutdown is now costing taxpayers $300M per day. Nice move tea party.
Yeah. And people like BDK and AZ don't think the Tea Party is dangerous. Their obsession with a lost cause is going to be expensive. What a waste they are. This is why the Tea Party should be voted out.

When you control one half of one branch of government, you are in no position to be uncompromising.

I have no love for either extreme, but ramrodding a poorly planned, little understood mess of a healthcare plan through Congress (no matter how noble a cause it may be) is going to be our undoing certainly in the short term. There's plenty of blame to go around for the current predicament :twocents:
Agreed. The immediate problem though is the tea party putting nearly a million people on furlough and potentially destroying the credit rating of the US. If they could just step aside and allow Obamacare implode on its own we'll all be better off. No need to completely wreck our already fragile economy. Fuck the tea party.

Um, no.

The worst part is that we pay more for my wifes insurance than we would for the silver plan here in MO. But guess what? Because she can get insurance through work, we can't sign her up.

So much for having choices...

Even if this somehow gets resolved in a timely manner, we still have the next debt ceiling clusterfuck to deal with on the 17th, I believe. It's long past time to boot all of these self-serving cocksuckers out on their asses.

. I agree. But we all know that Americans won't vote them out. They will reflect our "leaders" and complain about how they don't work.

Trying to get on to get signed up. It would be another six months before I can re-enroll on my job's plan but I need coverage. I love the whole "we're all gonna die" mantra from the Republicans. Yes, they said the same thing regarding Medicare in 1965. Proud to be a Democrat.

Pretty sure the out of control spending by the establishment politicians have put us in the debt ceiling issue. No spendy spendy, no breaky breaky.

Also had a friend receive a notice in the mail about changes to coverage and costs due to Obamacare...and their costs didn't go down.

Actually, the only ones uncompromising are the Donks in the Senate.
At first, the Conks wanted to defund Obamacare. Now they're asking for the Donks to be "fair" and grant a 1 year waiver on the individual mandate like Obama did for his cronies in big business and like he did for the aristocrats in Congress and their staffers. It's funny how the media portrays the Conks as the ones not compromising while the Donks have plainly stated on numerous occasions that there will be "no compromise".

Why should people who are all playing the same game play by a different set of rules? :?

Self-serving.

The parasite libs are self-serving...they want other people's money to take care of them.

Reduce the money our country spends. It really is that simple. Libs are a bunch of petulant children who don't understand how to control their urges. Detroit, Chicago, and many other cities are wasting away under Donk leadership as the producers decide to move away from the damned leeches. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, somebody take care of me...give me my check, I deserve it.

You'd think a couple hundred thousand people would be able to put together a plan that would enable them to start a civilized society...but they are too busy bitching about how it is everyone else's fault.

Now we have a poorly thought out massive boondoggle of a Health Care Plan that penalizes the producers while allowing politicians and Donk special interests to not participate in this "law of the land"...and the stupid Libs wonder why people are objecting? :dunce:

Are you kidding me? Libs are a bunch of whining jackazzes.

No, only one is and it's the party of racists who didn't complain one bit when Reagan was raising the debt ceiling and Bush was perverting the Constitution. Sorry but those are facts.

Both parties are at fault. The Republicans..sorry...Tea Party Republicans have a strong hold on the Party and continue these futile attempts at limiting Obamacare regardless of the math that states that no matter what, they will lose. Fund the government, pass a damn budget and then work on this. There are priorities here. This is nothing but election posturing for the TP.

Correct about conk hypocrisy but both parties are to blame. They basically have equal control most of the time. Today's democratic party would have been Reagan supporters when it comes to economics. Obama is pretty much Bush... and so on.

Yup. They are both taking actions to gain votes instead of doing what is best for the people they represent.

And the voting public clearly do not know what is best for them. The hard working traits and intelligence levels of the population is represented by a pyramid, not a rectangle. The majority's voting will ruin this country.

Many people worked in order to get healthcare. Now that it is given to them, I guess they don't have to work, or work as hard. There is no way this will create a bigger gap between the classes. :sarcasm:

 Of course the GOP didn't complain when Reagan and Bush were doing those things because they are partisans, just like you. You can blindly follow a political party if you choose, but it only makes you blind.

Leaders from both parties act like petulant children, and both parties have contributed to all of the issues we're facing today: a sluggish economy, the government shutdown, high unemployment, etc. To ignore those facts is to not dwell in reality.

I agree 100%. However, the system has been corrupted. I hate to tell you guys this, but America is really only a democracy by name. There is no real majority rule anymore, the rule is to change the voting area to increase your chances of getting the outcome that you want. Most states have gerrymanded the system that it doesn't matter how poorly a job the elected rep does, that 9 times out of 10 or more they'll beat the other parties candidate in re-election. The 1919 World Series was cleaner than modern day American politics.
