Thanks for the info Jay.JayJ79 wrote:Players can transfer from FBS programs to FCS programs w/o having to sit out, but if they transfer from one FCS team to another FCS team, they have to sit a year (same as if they transfer from one FBS to another FBS).dal4018 wrote: Wow I thought he could continue playing.
I know ASU is beginning the transition to FBS, but I don't think they are far enough in the process to be considered FBS in terms of that rule (but I'm only about 80% sure of that)

Not every reclamation project was a thug Marcus Dixon was a big time recruit that taken by Vanderbilt but because of rape charges they rescinded their offer to recruit him.Hampton University stepped up,to the plate and took a flyer on him.Cluck U wrote:Sure, because three times is not enough chances for a thug.dal4018 wrote:Somebody will snatch him up Inspite of personal problems too much talent to let go by the wayside!!!He has Moss like size 6-5 210 but not the speed 4.55.Maybe Alabama St could take chance on him they took a chance on Isiah Crowder ex-Georgia RB or Jackson St like they took a chance on ex- QB Casey Therriault a juco product.

But, when would we be considered far enough along to be considered FBS for transfer purposes?JayJ79 wrote:Players can transfer from FBS programs to FCS programs w/o having to sit out, but if they transfer from one FCS team to another FCS team, they have to sit a year (same as if they transfer from one FBS to another FBS).dal4018 wrote: Wow I thought he could continue playing.

Seems like he could finish this semester (if he can stay out jail
Would it be from the last point he played or from the time period of the transfer? Seems like if he transferred next summer, we would be far enough along and considered FBS -- he could transfer to an FCS school without sitting out a year.
Certainly a complicated situation... and I hope he has someone advising him. Though, something tells me he's lacking in that area.
