Looks like Timmy might have a job lined up...

Post by SuperHornet »

...the Rams might be knocking on his door after Bradford goes down with an ACL. According to reports from NFL.com, they're at least "discussing" the idea, though analysts think the move is at least somewhat unlikely....

We shall see....

You do realize that when a QB goes down, any QB that has seen action in the last couple years is "on a list" and "under discussion". Even if the discussion is "That scrub - hell no"

Cleveland really needs a QB...but even they aren't desperate enough to go down Holy roller BLVD.

If Jacksonville didn't go for him, then the Rams aren't either. There is an opening in Gainesville for a QB

I think it's pretty much a consensous(other than SH) that Tebow will never be a QB in the NFL. My question is why would he refuse to play another position? I mean when its all said and done, its still a paycheck, just not blockbuster numbers that QBs make.

Either he has too much of an ego to admit a problem with this ability OR he's tried other positions and isn't good at them.

Timmy NEEDS to be front and center. He has been groomed that way and, with zero humility, he will always refuse anything but the top position. He will end up the head of some strip mall church selling 25 dollar autographs, 100 dollar hugs, and 500 dollar soul cleansing.

@JasonLaCanfora: The Rams have no desire to bring in Tim Tebow. Are not mulling it. Jeff Fisher would not consider it.

Louisville QB.

Problem is with 3 wins already they will not have one of the top few picks and TB and Jax will both be picking in front of them.

Question is is anyone lining up for the Winston sweepstakes in the 2015 draft yet?

He would be one hell of a 3rd down/goal line RB.

Tebow has got to admit to himself that he is never going to be an NFL starter.

Fact is, Tebow can win games as an NFL starter. He already has proven that.

But Tebow's skill set is too unconventional. An offensive coordinator is going to have to rip up the existing playbook and start all over in order to accommodate Tebow's skill set. And then what happens when Tebow gets injured, as every running quarterback eventually does? You'd have to get the offensive to re-learn (or learn) the old offensive scheme. No offensive coordinator wants to build a system around a quarterback like Tebow. They need a QB who works within an existing system.

Perhaps Tebow could land on an NFL roster as a QB backup/gimmick play option, but can an NFL team really afford to use a precious roster spot on such a luxury? And what happens if the starter goes down to injury? In the event of an injury to a starter, the team needs a more conventional quarterback to come in and run the offense. So carrying Tebow means essentially that a team needs to carry three active quarterbacks.

Plus, even if a team were to carry Tebow as a backup, just having him around creates a quarterback controversy. Not that Tebow isn't a team player; his NFL teammates have all said he is a great teammate. But Tebow has very vocal fans who will demand that Tebow start, especially when the starter struggles in the least. Teams don't need that sideshow.

Tim, tight end or RB is your future and only hope to hold an NFL job.

TE or Hback. Get him out in the flats or underneath and he can do some serious damage to a secondary.

That said, Favre and Garcia are getting call over Timmy for QB openings.

Just one problem with that. They're not biting. (That's actually surprising in the case of Favre.) Why go after guys who won't bite when there IS a guy that WILL?

Same reason, they aren't calling me. I'd bite. Call me!

The Rams need a QB, that eliminates Tebow.

Tebow needs to take the hint, the NFL doesn't want him as a QB. He can try a different position or Canada.

It's not wrong

No NFL team wants him as a qb. If they did he'd be on a team

I wasn't racing, just voicing an opinion that is in line with his - and apparently in line with all NFL teams.
